Daily News Thai Caption: Anger at criticism of parents

 

Daily News reported on a murder in Surat Thani committed by a hawker who the media called "kind" (jai bun) because he liked to feed stray dogs.

 

Pol Capt Chaowalit Atteng of the Muang district police in Surat Thani responded to reports of a shooting in Moo 3 of Wat Pradu sub-district.

 

He found only bloodstains as the victim - a maintenance man at an old people's home called Saen - had already been taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

 

He had been shot in the arm with the bullet going into the chest. Evidence was found of two shots having been fired.

 

CCTV showed that the person responsible was a man called Nott, a 26 year old food hawker.

 

Thereafter Lamae police at a checkpoint in the neighboring southern province of Chumphon arrested him in a red Nissan.

 

Nott told investigators that whenever he saw stray dogs he wanted to feed them.

This included strays outside the old people's home. 

 

He was told not to by the maintenace man there but he secretly continued to do so.

 

This resulted in him being verbally abused by the maintenance man who went as far as to question the good character of his parents. 

 

Subsequently he took a gun with him and when the abuse happened again he shot the maintenance man.

 

He then drove his motorcycle home and told his mother what had happened. He asked her to look after his dog then got in his car and headed to Bangkok to see his fiance. He intended to surrender there.

 

But before that could happen he was stopped in Chumphon.

 

He took police to where he had stashed the murder weapon in undergrowth in Surat Thani.

 

He has been charged with premeditated murder and gun offences and detained. 

 

ASEAN NOW notes that stray dogs are a perennial problem in Thailand. While some people are praised for feeding them others think this only exacerbates the problem.

Some people, who do not have any emotional development, nor any self esteem, seem to take offense at the tiniest perceived slight. 

 

To murder someone over an insult is so bizarre. A real man just deals with it. A child, who resides within the body of a man, can react wildly and unpredictably. 

 

These days there is so much insanity in this world. It is better to just avoid insulting strangers. 

Too many guns ......with people willing to use them

for even the smallest reason .who is going to feed

the dogs now, he never thought about that......

You push 'kind' people enough, they might get back at you in 'unkind' ways.

I love how character profiles immediately provided by others how gun shooters  are never monsters or just kind people…see Texas and this story…..

His love of canines will bring hitherto new dimensions when he reverses on the karmic wheel and is reincarnated as one instead of a higher level awareness human being.

So the one who feed dogs got mad that idiots tell him to stop ? I really understand him. Maybe he will help people complaining that we feed dogs, to understand that we are not interested by their opinion and that we do exactly what we want !

Maybe if these 'feeders' were responsible for all the health care of those bitten by these mongrels then they'd stop it.

Isn't that like saying that supermarkets should stop selling you food, just in case you run over someone with your bicycle?

So if someone tells you not to do something, you shoot him dead?

Notice how people who knew them, when describing serial killers or mass murderers, often say he seemed like such a nice guy! 

 

You don't know much about someone unless you get to know them quite well.

India has their cows, and Thailand has the Soi dogs. It is sad to hear of someone

losing their life over one of these stray animals.  I wonder how long this guy will be

in a Thai prison for this killing?

I guess it's kind of ironic that he'll now be eating like a stray dog for the next decade or so.

And living in worse conditions. Should get death sentence. These worthless, fragile ego, unstable, ill-equipped, murderous Thais are a menace to society and should be eliminated once going this far.. 

 

Preemptively for those about to divert from the topic....Yeah yeah yeah everyone knows the USA has big problems, but this is not about the US. About Thailand rearing  man-babies who have no capability to deal with minor little everyday life experiences and solve it by murdering anyone and everyone at their whim.

Food hawkers carrying guns, that becomes some real hot and spicy food then.

Often in Thailand, people feed dogs for selfish reasons.  They hope by 'making merit' they will get some good luck.

 

So he was probably annoyed that someone was messing with his cunning plan to win the lottery.

Karma is a myth like religions. Feeding soi dogs should be a criminal offence as it just perpetuates suffering
