Video: "Man with famous surname" shoots motorcyclist in road rage incident - sister bails him out for 300K

A road rage incident lasting about five minutes showed an apparently drunk man in an altercation with a motorcyclist outside the pick-up driver's house in Nonthaburi on Saturday night.

 

The man fired his gun injuring the motorcyclist and fired further shots in the air. In total four shots were fired, said Daily News.

 

In addition the man - who the media said has a famous surname - attacked the motorcyclist repeatedly and kicked over his bike.

 

It was all caught on video by a young man aged 19 living opposite in Soi Sri Bang Rak, Muang Nonthaburi.

Police at the scene later found bloodstains and casings from a .380 weapon. 

 

The victim - Harit, 33 - had already been taken to Phra Nang Klao Hospital by a member of the public, reported Daily News.

 

Arrested was 54 year old Sorawuth Nana who was incoherent with drunkenness.

He was charged with attempted murder, weapons offences and DUI.

 

At 1 pm on Sunday his elder sister arrived with 300,000 baht to bail him out and take him home.

 

She described him to police as a lovely guy with full mental faculties. But he was under stress. She admitted he drinks, but not to excess.

She said he was reversing into his house but the motorcyclist hit his rear. He didn't mean to shoot him, just threaten him to get him to leave the area. 

 

He was going to take the victim to hospital himself but the police arrived first, Kee, the sister claimed. 

 

A caption on their picture in that article said: 

 

"(My younger brother) is a kind guy"

The video suggests an out of control and armed drunk violently threatening another member of the public, notes ASEAN NOW. 

 

And with a name like "Nana", perhaps entitled too.

Things will never change here, but this video is a nice message to people (often me) who are in the right on the road, but wind the wrong people up after them driving like they own the road.

 

Sadly, this will happen again, and most likely involving the same person... and I'm not talking about the scooter rider.

In any other country near or far, even the dark side of the Moon Nana would be on rice soup in the Bkk Hilton waiting to hear his 10 year sentence for attempted murder read out, but keep him locked up dosnt allow negotiations to take place so let him roam about the bail money may well get lost and he will get a naughty boy telling off, buy some more ammo and ready for same same, third world at its best, disgraceful and these things find there way on the internet stopping many from investing there time and money here.  IMHO

Laughable, on bail for £7,000 for attempted murder. I wonder how many would put up bail if the bail HAD to be used in any compensation to the victim in any future lawsuit and was held for 6 months after conviction for said victim - or family - to launch claim

I think I'm a nice guy and I don't drink I'm under a lot of stress living here in Thailand, I like to take your brother hang him by his balls and strip the skin slowly off his body pour honey on his body and let those nasty Thai black ants have a feast. 

Then I like to take the sister to Nana and see I can work her as a freelancer.  When done I like to get to the rest of the family just because I'm under a lot of stress just thinking it I'm feeling s bit better already.????

The guy on the bike must have been terrified, and pleading drunk doesn't cut the mustard with me, I really hope they throw the book at him, 10 years minimum, that should clear any future hangovers, plus a million baht to the motorcyclist for unwarranted stress.

Whatever the case, the fear that biker must have endured I can’t imagine.
