The price of 209 baht is good. But what does it taste like? I used to drink Guinness in the UK, many years ago,  and thought it was a good drink, until I went to Dublin and tried it. It tast

I really like to know where to get it.

Closest place I know is around the famous fountain in Vientiane but I wouldn't be surprised if it's sold in Isaan

Anyone mentioned Guinness in a can and an ultrasonic frother/surger? That is how many pubs in UK sell it.

Never took to that canned 'draught' having a preference for the Murphys version.

There used to be draught guiness cans everywhere unfortunately the widget being compressed nitrogen is now banned from the import list of some countries. Thailand being one of them.

Walked past Cheap Charlies (soi Buk) this pm and they have a sign outside saying Guiness 209 a pint.......

The best Guinness I have had in Pattaya is at Caddyshack, think it was 225B a pint.

It’s back on in the Metro Bar, in LK Metro, I had a couple the other day, very good 220 baht a pint.

No it isn't. Guinness Cold was on sale in the UK 15 years ago or more. The pump was the same design but with a blue stripe around it.

Correct.

I have had some Guinness in the Metro Sports Bar in LK Metro, 220 baht a pint, tbh the same as in the U.K., fully air conditioned and over 12. TVs, no girls pestering you. Around 30 farangs in the bar,  the Thai lady knew exactly how to pour it albeit I think she was was frustrated she had to do 75% let it settle then 25% to top it up.

i spoke with owner, very popular seller he sad, it was imported from Dublin unfortunately when the current stock runs it out it takes a month for the next delivery. I am not sure why they didn’t re order before they ran out ?

We re-order all the time. Unfortunately, the local supplier runs out and can never tell us when they are getting more from the importer in Bangkok. We live in hope that the "logistic issues and supply chain issues" which Guinness in Dublin told me was the issue will be ironed out sooner rather than later.

Isn't The Bar called Metro apartments- or used to be?

The entire place is Metro Apartments but everyone calls the place Metro Bar.

I ordered a half pint once. It looked ridicioulous sitting at the bar with a small glass when other people had pints.

I was in the Metro on Sunday, great pint of Guinness served at the right temperature not to chilled by a Thai lady who knew how pour it, 75%, let it settle then top up the other 25%.
