Pattaya — A foreigner of unidentified nationality fought with a Thai female and several Thai men on Walking Street allegedly after refusing to pay for his food.

The video of the conflict was shared by several bystanders and went viral on social media this morning. The video can be seen by clicking here although we warn that sensitive viewers may get offended and should take caution before viewing.

Pattaya Walking Street fell into shambles at 4.30 a.m. today, August 29th, as several Thai men appeared to be throwing punches at a foreign man in the middle of the street while one Thai woman kept yelling that the foreign man did not pay her for the food he ate, possibly som tam according to her yelling. The foreigner was at one point knocked to the pavement during the extended altercation.

The incident was recorded by a passer-by, showing a foreigner of unknown nationality and identification who stood over 180 cm tall arguing with a Thai woman. “You eat my food. It is not for free,” the woman shouted at the man but the man only said “No, you don’t understand”, tried to calm her down briefly, and then tried to walk away before also getting angry and raising his voice.

Welcome to the 21st century

An extra bloke on his side might well have resulted in a win for the away team.

Two would definitely have swung it.

That little Somsak is trying really hard to get some extra rotten fish sauce for his supper.

You eat my food. It is not for free.

Funny. That's what my Thai ex-gf said when I wanted to walk away.

Thai men always ready and happy to gang up on a foreigner.

Perfectly normal in Thailand. See a foreigner in an altercation and join in against him, regardless of who might be right or wrong and it being nothing at all to do with those who join in. And all over just a few Baht.

I have experienced the same from the uneducated south Asian tourists as well in a hotel I stayed at pre covid.

I don't stay there anymore.

Things seem to be getting back to "normal"

Normally it's seven Thais ganging up on one foreigner.  Are Thai men getting braver?

Maybe the usual Indian trying to barter down the price of street food did not fly this time...

I can hear it now .....In India we only pay 15 baht for rice and chicken so that's all I will pay in Thailand...

I just saw the video;

A foreigner trying to defend himself from a pack of cowards soi dogs.

Ever since they created the concept of zero, they have laid claim to it in their bargaining behaviors!

It seems like he is saying that he didn't eat any of the food.

Maybe he ordered it and  then thought  oh no i do not like the look of that and walked off without  paying.

Wonder how sober this guy was being out so early.

Is this an incident, or is society reaching boiling point? A bit of ganja would mellow people down, and if a customer refuses to pay his bill, go to the police.

Glad to see Pattaya is getting back to normal

I have yet to stumble across a single one! spineless the lot of them.

Yeah - Thailand is back to Old Normal with gangs of Thais beating up foreigners.

"all over just a few Baht."

This is the part I don't get.

Food cart prices?

Could have been settled for a couple hundred baht I would guess.

Cheap price to avoid a beating.
