My husband of 48 years keeps disappearing to Thailand and sending hundreds of pounds there every month - but when I question him he says it's 'none of my business'

Or Selfish people would prefer to pay people to have sex with them (Not you of course, as you have never done that in your life, ever) , some other people just want to spend all their money on themselves and not leave anything to their children

The worse ones are the people who received an inheritance from their parents and want to spend all that money on themselves having sex and not pass it on , selfish people

But if those people have sex and pay for sex then the pass on that money.

But instead of passing it on to their greedy children they pass it on to cute girls in need.

Win/win and all that.

Yes, agree.

I'm sure Thailand will prosper with a growth in tourism.

Hopefully the beautiful, poor Isaan girls will make a few baht to.

Why would I talk to an old woman or a confused AN member if I can spend that time with a cute Thai girl?

Priorities!

Right! Once she got you (deleted)-whipped, you'll become the number 2 accessory in the home. Number 1 accessory is always gonna be AIS ???? ????

Yes, don't marry.

That is at best only a theoretical consideration. One changes throughout life, character and life goals aren't static and when two people are involved the equation becomes even more complicated.

Yes, don't marry.

That's like saying "rent, don't buy."

Not always true. Depends on your situation.

Renting is better for some. Buying is better for some. Some can live with either choice.

There's no one size fits all solution.

Then you divorce and move on.

"I just don't know what to do...I'm thinking, how long have I got?'"..... for what? To save your marriage? That ship has sailed. Move on. It's over.

A classic example of why marriage cannot provide all physical, emotional and economic needs.

You fellas must have been burned by women pretty badly.

There are also other forum members here who report being happily married to their wives for 10, 20, 30, 40+ years.

I’m still in my 30s, but have known lots of older farang here during my years in Thailand telling me they “love it here, as women are much more caring and have a higher Sex drive compared to their women at home”.

thats no excuse for sure and that guy should have simply divorced, but it’s definitely a reason why so many older guys like Thailand and get here what they are missing at home.

Good luck to the guy. Life is too short to be miserable all the time.

Great thread by the way.

The irony is that there are many threads here about how farangs, including the women, typically like to engage in intellectually deeper conversations and have longer-lasting, more intense sex drives and are more willing to experiment.

It all depends on who you are talking to.

There was a report in one of the UK newspapers that featured an article about this couple from several years ago.  Apparently, they were receiving bills for regular downloading hard-core porn movies from a subscription service.  Of course, the husband denied any knowledge......

So many of us came here seeking fun, companionship and adventure.  The difference for me at least—American wife had already divorced me three years prior (and managed to take a hefty chunk of my retirement savings).

The guy could have said what many guys tell their wives when heading to Thailand, that he's going there on a golf trip!  I am sure 99% of wives though know the real reason why.

I reckon this lady has reached out to a UK TV talk show to basically publicly broadcast and shame her husband's infidelity under the guise of being clueless. Divorce is the only way out for this one for both.

Guessing there is some Issan girl getting monthly sponsor money from the lovestruck old bloke to 'keep her out of the bar' and only love him LOL.

It's easy not to marry. Just don't do it.

Anybody who gets married because she wants it because for her it has lots of benefits should realize he didn't have to do it.

For decades, most old mongers quietly accepted their own lack of firmness and underperforming. Then along came ED drugs and testosterone shots, the bane of every young bar girl who now have to put up with old and wrinkly "rejuvenated" blokes who still think they're God's gift while all red-faced and sweaty with a boner like a tire iron.

That's probably what the bloke in the OP is going through. Sad.

I'm 67 and everything still works, no firming up drugs required.

That is a stupid comparison.

You rent with short term cancellation option, or you rent and you can't cancel the contract without severe paneities.

You never buy - that would be slavery.

I you marry a woman that is absolutely no guarantee that she will stay the way you like it. In fact, you sign a contract that even if she changes in any way she wants you will still support her. How stupid is that?
