I don't really think its Brit hating or bashing, when they do seem to be more in the news for this kind of thing than other nationalities?

ok but the question still remains. why does it seem to happen more often to only a few certain nationalities.

it is a valid question.

And far more common in Thailand than, say, Singapore or Malaysia. Thailand has long attracted the bottom of the barrel. Many reasons for that.

Darned right, both those places would make you suicidal rather than run riot!

Maybe so, not every one who drinks alcohol and takes drugs goes berserk. The ones that do seem to have a common thread?

Probably smoking crystal meth.

That's what Italian Fridge Guy was up to when he lost his S**t.

Dropped the pipe or tipped the torch, pants on fire, flames, panic, fire extinguisher.

After reading just the thread title, I immediately grabbed my phone and frantically called all 5 Brit friends I have here to check if it was one of them.

Is it time to move, or should I just look for other members of less errrrr..... mentally volatile nationalities to make friends with?

Jeez. Have some fun, like the rest of us, and give the hotel staff a break!

One hotel I checked into once ... there was a baseball bat behind the reception.

After reading all these stories on Aseannow, I don't blame them.

I will donate a few Louisville Slugger bats to the Thailand hotel industry!

The Thai media loves nothing more than the repetition within its own echo-chamber....

The Thai media?   Why pick on them specifically, they're no different to any other media.

1. Because this was is a Thai Forum.

2. Because the Thai media is almost as repetitive in its reporting as you are in throwing the word ‘assertion’ out there !!! ????

Sounds like reasonable cause for arrest for anyone irrespective of nationality.

Not really, I would have thought it's a civil matter, something you would be billed for on departure.

People often smash up their hotel rooms, I believe they're used to it by now
