Pattaya locals cry out for relief from disruptive foreign youth on loud motorcycles

A neighbourhood in South Pattaya has been troubled by disruptive night-long antics from a group of predominantly Arab youth on loud motorcycles. Residents have called on police to take action.

Residents living on Soi VC Hotel and Soi Yensabaai, Nong Prue sub-district, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province, have registered grievances about a group of foreign nationals causing unrest with loud motorcycles. These youngsters, who are frequently seen speeding on the aforementioned sois, have been a significant source of disruption.

Soi Yensabaai, known as a gathering spot for foreigners, especially Arabs, is often filled with the noise of thunderous motorbike mufflers. There are many races along Soi Yensabaai throughout the night. Some thrill-seekers also entertain by honking horns loudly as they speed on different streets including Tappaya Road and Phra Tamnak Hill Road, heading towards Jomtien Second Road, much to the locals’ dismay, reported KhaoSod.

so import dek wen.

serves you right thailand. this is nothing different than something many thai have done for decades.

in the early 00's in hat yai hundreds of young thai guys used to all ride around throughout the city in a huge mob. was quite scary if you got caught in it.

I didn't need to read the OP to know the nationality of the miscreants. They were a pest even 10 years ago, and made it hazardous crossing the road in that area.

They need the m'bikes confiscating and a hefty fine. Even jail time would be good.

LOL. They had Thai prostitutes on the back when I was there. I felt sorry for them being put at risk by idiots.

I live in Poocrap and have been in Patts for the last 10 days. Patts is nothing compared to the hordes of miscreant T-max rocketing camel humpers there, especially Patong.

Get the police to use these - "stingers" - and if the bikers are not wearing protective clothing when falling off, then tough s...t!!

Been going on for years, police could easily stop it, rich parents maybe?

Clearly the Pattaya residents need to come up with a few stuffed envelopes then.

Rarely do the BiB operate in preventing crime and react to crime, unless there is a photo op.

How do you know that they were prostitutes, did you know the women?

After that they can go for all the Harleys' with no silencers

Sounds like the same type of noises heard when I lived in Bangkok.  From the locals .  But I guess it’s considered more serious if it’s foreigners

Easy to fix - Get off your bottom and arrest the perps, give any perp of any nationality 48 hours sewer cleaning duty, do it again - a weeks sewer cleaning. 3rd deport foreigners with 5 year ban and put thai youth in army for 5 years. Problem worldwide is the threat never happens - need to hit the youth and the trouble makers hard and use not soft sentences that are infiltrating the world justice system

Their nights are going to get worse once back at the loom.

Yes, add them to the list of tourists courted who then become a bit more trouble than they are worth. Again this is an issue discussed before.

But without the ships of the desert what would they do with all the Arab seamen?

And there was me grumbling about noisy bikes and local kids in Cha Am.

I must be living a charmed life, away from the multi cultured riff  raff :jap:

We get the local kids too, and maybe a few from nearby, on the other side of the highway. A few roaring down 3rd Rd when I was there Thursday night, trying to get their horribly loud little bikes to perform wheelies.
