A perennial favourite topic. 

I'm 55. If I were single I know I should aim for a compatible 40 year old. I fear id be aiming for the nearest to the hottest 25 year old I could find.

28yo to 36yo.

Easy enough; met my current wife  15 years ago, so  29+15 would  be  44 years precisely. The question is: how long can  one survive  on 3 times 20mg of Cialis a day...

Two things affect the aging male brain; a desire for sex, and a sense of familiarity.

 

Many guys in Thailand gravitate there for the former, easy sex with young women who in their home country would probably vomit at the thought of sex with them.

 

Then you get to familiarity.

We all like sex, but being with someone roughly your own age brings that sense of common ideals.

You sorta like the same music, movies have lived through the same history so you actually have things to talk about, rather than a relationship just based around sex.

 

So I'd say a 10 year age gap is about the limit

 

And for full disclosure me and Mrs G are exactly 10 years apart

Well my ex wife is dealing very well with her toy boy boyfriend, doesn't seem to worry them.

Mental stimulation is paramount for both individuals if one wants to have a compatible satisfying relationship. If one’s aim is young and sex, then I’d suppose long term foresight isn’t in the picture, though burnout is.

I see you are following my recommendation of yesterday then.

At 67 now, I don't think I'd be looking for another relationship, and simply enjoy being single again.

 

No sense in starting something that won't last that long.  I'm on borrowed time already.

 

My experience here you can have as much trouble here with an older woman (sometimes more!) than a younger woman. If you got plenty of money and after happiness get whatever you fancy. If she doesn't work out boot her and get another one. And don't expect more maturity or better conversation with an older woman either. If you want someone for a partner rather than fun....good  education and upbringing what you look for. May not be as much fun as a young, dumb village girl tho ????

It's entered my mind recently as my marriage is on the rocks. If I made the split and I was looking for another relationship, I'd go 15-20 years younger. Most likely though, I'd just play the field being honest that I don't want anything serious. I've had enough of nagging, I have no interest in having a kid, and I know I would live a relatively peaceful life being free, alone.

If it were up to me (and not up to the girl to accept me), I'd apply the following formula:

 

Gap = [my age] - 18

 

The reason being you don't need females to be old already, they get old by themselves.

Maybe that is the case with a woman of the same age of your home country. In Thailand you still don't have much in common with any Thai women of any age.

No uni chix anymore...headache...too immature...flip-flop...still finding their identity...and also beyond reasonable age gap for me now...came to LoS in my 30s...was fine then...let all their bs go past me for the lay...not now. Fantastic bods, but I'd be reaching for tylenol.
