Yes, he got the death penalty from the 2016 Chao Praya body parts murder, but got commuted to life by royal pardon on the 68th b/day of the King.

Clever lad.

He (probably) chopped up his friend. Then runs to the BIB and meanwhile leaves the gruesome tools of his trade all over his apartment.

What a prat. ( how do you say this in Spanish.. ????)

Obviously there would be more gruesome dismemberments. They need to increase the amount tourists show in the bank to 800,000 baht. Good guys in, bad guys out.

Love the sarcasm , but you might give them ideas?????

Spaniard held for questioning over decapitated body on Pha-ngan Island

Police on Pha-ngan Island are holding a Spaniard for questioning, suspecting that he may be involved in the murder and decapitation of a foreigner whose remains were found in a plastic bag at a garbage dump in Ban Thong Sala on the island.

The Spaniard, only identified as “Daniel”, showed up at Pha-ngan police station on Friday night to file a report about a missing friend, a Columbian, whom he identified as Edwin Arita. Police are holding him for questioning, but have not filed any charges yet.

Also yesterday, forensic officers went to the garbage separation site to examine two additional body parts, a T-shirt, a pair of shorts and a pair of blood stained red boxer shorts, which were found stuffed in a black plastic bag by a garbage collector.

As already quoted he is not very smart basically caught in the act

Deserves his extended stay in the Bangkok Hilton ????

He was not caught in any act, he went and told the Police his friend was missing in an attempt to ' throw them off the scent ' which backfired immediately and he became prime suspect.

Stupid is what stupid does.

Forensics are getting good at this

"When police examined the hotel room Daniel took Edwin to stay they found that while the refrigerator, bathroom and sink had been cleaned, the sewer was blood-stained with some tissue, fat and hair also recovered from this pipeline"

From the news reports, it sounds like "dismembered" would be the better description vs "decapitated," though presumably the victim was decapitated as well.  ????

"dismemberment involves "the entire removal, by any means, of a large section of the body of a living or dead person, specifically, the head (also termed decapitation), arms, hands, torso, pelvic area, legs, or feet".

One alleged murder does not make him a serial killer.

Quite agree! I got caught smoking a joint many years ago, and was immediately branded a drug addict!
