Maybe now the authorities collect all the personal details of (new) customers.

Hello, I want a girl. No problem sir, we will visit you soon. ????

When will these stupid farangs understand that sexual services and drug dealing businesses are on the Reserved for Thais, list. They might get around this if they know a Thai, preferably a policeman in a high position.????

explained that the operation carried out by a special task force was part of a programme ordered by Prime Minister Prayut Chan Ocha

Interesting that, after eight-ish years the PM, to whom the RTP report, decided to actually do something.

Use a server in another country and funds deposited to another country bank, then make regular withdrawals in cash.  Don't leave a paper-trail.

Most of all, if the operation may be considered rouge, don't acquire expensive titled properties or assets.

Rent or lease, don't buy titled assets in the countries you are operating a rouge business.

Not everyone is as smart as you????

I wonder because the servers are in San Francisco the reason why the website is still up ?

Could you make this up...?

"online criminality linked to foreigners in Thailand which was damaging the image of the kingdom and which posed a nuisance to the public."

Foreigners are having such a corrosive effect on the disintegration of the holy moral fiber of the nation. Without them, there would be no supply, nor demand. Arrest all of us. It is the only solution.

Thaifriendly is not really the same though.

It is more a meeting site, what is negotiated does not have anything to do with the website.

Girls openly post that they are freelancers on their profiles.  Key issue is that there is no foreigner profiting in the background.

It's always about the money here in Thailand.....always.

Many will have pimps behind them however Thaifriendly is not advertising escort services themselves.... they are simply providing the gateway for girls to meet new people and what those people do from there is nothing to do with thaifriendly.

Thaifriendly is owned by foreigners, they will be profiting from the premium subscription service offered on their dating website.

"stupid fuss over the oldest profession"

But it is a fuss about money, associated with a nationality...

True. Brothels and karaoke bars (not primarily for the songs) all over the place. But as soon as it is online, or the neon lights show up in more touristy areas, suddenly Victorian morality kicks in. What a hypocrisy!

Does this mean that some army high-ups are shaking in their boots because their side gig may be in jeopardy?

More likely shaking in their boots because their daughters are going to start expecting a lot more money for "university" ????

That's all well and good, but how about clamping down on the Thai criminals as well?

This surely needs to go through the court system.

If they've paid taxes and legally registered then the state has over exerted its self and the justice system will reign it in.

I wonder if they're doing the same for Thai online criminals?  Will the second largest sex for sale website now be in their sights?  Or is that Thai run and therefore OK.
