clever boy: when you reach my age late 70s you will find that you're lucky to have just a handful of REAL friends. Interestingly enough none of them are on Aseannow or facebook. mine include an atheistic, a Jew a Catholic, a gay couple and the american fellow who saved us in the tsunami (which would make him a Christian) . . so buzz off smarty pants.

Well dude, when you hit my age (70s), and as an American, you continue your longstanding tradition of not caring about the background of your friends. After all, in my world, there are two types of folks, Yanks and Not Yanks. Now some of my best friends arent Yanks, but Im ecumenical.

That being said, in this instance, there are two types of people in my world. Folks that stand with the good old USA against terrorism, antisemitism, neo nazism, anti Americanism and those that don't. Remember, this wasnt just an attack on Israel, but an attack on US citizens too

Limousines, villas and jets. Hamas leaders lead the luxurious life of billionaires

Many see the Gaza sector as a symbol of the suffering and poverty of Palestinians. More than 2 million people live on the tiny coastline, 39% of whom do not have a job. However, there are several hundred dollar millionaires among them. These are Hamas leaders who live in luxurious villas, brag about limousines on social networks and stay in the most expensive hotels. BILD has collected the main ones:

Ismail Haniya, 61 years old. The leader of Hamas and the head of the Gaza government has been living abroad since 2019. A father of 13 children leads militants from luxurious hotels in Qatar and Turkey. He travels between Tehran, Istanbul, Moscow and Cairo on a private jet. His son Maaz is a big real estate owner in Gaza, where he is called the "father of houses". In Turkey, he is often seen with women and alcohol, which is against the laws of Islam. The estimated wealth of the Haniya family is $ 2.5 billion.

Khaled Mashal, 67 years old. Former head of the Hamas Politburo fled from Damascus to Qatar with 1.5 billion dollars in 2012. He now controls the real estate and finances of the Doha group.

Musa Abu Marzuk, 72 years old. Hamas is the second most significant leader in charge of international relations. He lived 14 years in the USA, where six of his children were born. His health is estimated at $ 2 billion.

Eunis Kafiche, 67 years old. He is responsible for the finances of Hamas, he lives in Istanbul. The President of Turkey issued him a Turkish passport under the name Hashmet Aslan. On behalf of Hamas, a construction company works there, earning about 2 million euros in 2022.

"HAMAS has accumulated enormous wealth and resources from secret real estate deals, while the Gaza sector further destabilizes, plunging into terrible poverty and economic ruin," says US Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Elizabeth Rosenberg.

Al Jizz…..lol

Here Exclusive interview with Netanyahu just a few hours old. No cease fire until hostage released. Possibility of pauses for an hour or so for humanitarian purposes only.

Why are there leaders outside Gaza living the life of Luxury.

Because they are cynical, ruthless evil men who don't care much about their own people.

I think that was addressed many times by now.

And then...

Hundreds of Israelis called for reserve duty with the IDF.

Some returned from abroad, other went back to volunteer.

Both of Netanyahu sons are eligible for reserve duty.

Both live abroad (London, Miami), with an attached security detail (quite likely combat reservists).

No sign either intends to return and give a hand.

Eldest son alternates between fueling Dad's social media 'poison machine' and, allegedly, making sure Dad's eyes remain on the political ball.

Wouldn't trust a word he says. He's got zero credibility. If and when Biden seriously decides to push, little doubt he'll cave in.

His 2008 elections slogan was about dismantling Hamas rule in Gaza (while at the same time promoting an opposite policy). Some years later, he'll give his blessing for Qatari money to fund projects in the Gaza Strip, surely aware where a chunk of this actually goes.

On the recent three weeks alone he had quite a few about turns when things initially said were badly received by the public. The most recent one, just a few days ago was blaming the protests and the reservist element within it for the attack. Backlash made him take it back.

So personnel opinions don't apply on this thread, when it doesn't follow the Zionist right-wing agenda?

First genuine concession to the reality of this manufactured  "war". Bibisan has and is enjoying his  "state of war" status that  probably will enable him to continue to defer multiple criminal corruption charges for as  long as he can prolong said status which he has already  declared  would/could be  a "long " time.

Climbing onboard his "War Cabinet" are  political opposition  figures who by default attain same said authority ( and no doubt salary ) to dictate the application of a counter terrorist  terrorist  militancy funded and supplied by the US in a corporate  clawback of several  billion $US annual  fundings while maintaining a significant degree of political ME influence that is  incrementally being ignored .

Wrong in your first sentence, this is not a manufactured war. The is the result of a deliberate terrorist massacre of over 1,000 civilians and kidnap of over 240 more

When you say 'manufactured' is this some conspiracy theory thing? Or a language issue? If the first, I think we had enough of this nonsense, if the second, please explain.

The opposition members who joined the government did so for the duration of the war, and are not receiving extra salaries or benefits associated with position. This was detailed on local news many times. The rest of the mini-rant lacks focus and his just more of the usual nonsense.

Thank you for your Pavlovian response. Evidence?

Of what?

This relentless attack on innocent people is tragic.  Apart from the dead, there are over 25,000 injured.

There was debate earlier on the thread about whether or not Israel were committing war crime, now, even the fundamentalists can't say they are not.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza says 10,328 people in the besieged enclave have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7.

The figure includes 4,237 children.

This war could have been ended by exchanging the hostages and giving back all autonomous rights and advantages that Palestinians would have as an independent country.

By "manufactured" or "forced" or "inevitable"  I think he means it's part of a serial manufacturing of destruction in the region for his own people and the Palestinians by just not applying international law for Palestinians under the legacy of Netanyahu.

As for your first line, I'm aware that you're all for appeasement of terrorists, thanks.

No, it all could have been avoided if the government of Gaza didn't plan to attack, kill civilians, and take hostages. FACT.....

It's people like you that want to pat these scrotes on the head for being naughty, then blame the aggrieved.
