Phuket – Phuket has generated 370 billion baht from tourism in about eight months, said the president of the Phuket Tourism Association.

The President of the Phuket Tourism Association Mr. Thanet Tantipiriya told Thai Media, “In the past eight months, Phuket has generated about 370 billion baht. The number of tourists is seeing a 40 percent year over year increase when compared with 2019, before Covid-19.”

 

“About 80 percent of hotel rooms have been booked during this upcoming high season especially hotels near beaches. The occupancy rate during the current Vegetarian Festival is about 67 to 74 percent in tourism areas.” Thanet added.

 

“Additionally, there have been many direct flights from Israel to Phuket since the Phuket Sandbox era (A program for quarantine tourists during Covid, in which Israel was one of the first countries to majorly participate). However, the number of Israeli tourists has decreased by about 40 percent after the war broke out with Hamas.” Thanet explained.

There aren’t many tourists in my area of Phuket. Some, but not many. And compared to before Covid? No comparison.

 

let’s look around the globe and see what’s happening, oh oh, I know, Israeli tourists have dropped. Gentlemen, we have our excuse.

No there was a rumour going around that all the Israelis were going to be herded to one corner of the island, surrounded by walls and barbed wire and blockaded in.  Whenever they wanted to leave they would be humiliated by being questioned, searched and abused.  For some reason they find that idea unacceptable and decided to leave.  Lucky they have somewhere to go (for now).

Yep.  The Israelis overseas are doing everything they can to get back to Isreal, unlike the males of other countries who run and hide.

Even Israelis with other citizenships like US, France, Germany, etc. have headed to Israel to rejoin the IDF.

I know an Americal-Israeli in California, he finished his service 20-years ago, but he's already back in Israel.

They understand the situation.  As Golda Mier said: "We have a secret weapon.  We have nowhere else to go!"

People don’t realize Israel is surrounded by enemies. The Gaza Strip is run by Hamas a terrorist organization they’re giving millions of dollars to help the people there and all they did was build more tunnels get more weapons to my ran. Isreal got two locks and allowed 20,000 workers to commit Israel each day to earn money and a living is real thought that would help them instead all I did was give them more surveillance at all the communities in the area which they targeted and massacred old people, children men everybody they could, and took hostages isreal is a very small country, but they have to remind very strong survive.

The other country locks them up or poisons them. (Many also fall out of windows in high buildings.)

I really am not trying to be a 'clever clogs' - but - the accompanying photo

of the Phuket beach looks really well maintained, a credit to those unsung

heroes whose job it is to look after the beach and the surrounding areas.

I am wondering if the sand and the rain is of a different type to that of

Pattaya as Phuket doesn't have the same erosion problem(s) as we 

have here in Pattaya.

Ukes or Ruskys are the same culturally speaking and in their shrewd practice of warefare. None is better then the other one when it comes to politics or war. Not to forget the highly corrupt government in Ukraine that even the civilian and decent urkrainians wanted out a few days before the war. As for the panama papers scandal ... the 400 millions missing as per reports from US investigative journalists...free to all to choose their side I may say.
