Living in Pattaya on 186000 a month

With that kind of money I would be hopping from plane to plane for a year or three.

If a place strikes my fancy I would settle..for a time..or for good.

Pattaya? 🤣

Not enough.

186-

70 house

150K for birds and booze, 5,000/day average, more in GG x 30

comes out to 220.

means you need another 34k/month

You forgot the basics of food, water and utilities 😀

I have friends with 86,000 a month car payments in Pattaya.  People think 186k a month is a lot but they don't see these rich guys.

Righto......ask them then.

****!

“Wrote his true income anonymously”?

How else is it done here? With a passport picture page and address?

”This is why people don’t post their income if (its) reasonable”? But you did anyway 😊

Just another silly Troll.

Because he was accused of posting it to show off but he didn't use anything that identified him. How can you show off if you aren't know in real life by your handle or the community.

I though people with 700/800 k Baht a month (>20000 USD) would live in Miami, Cote d'Azur or wherever except Pattaya.

The poorer ones with half that money maybe in Ko Samui :cheesy:
I never stop learning.

Because money goes much further here.  On 800k a month you can live like a king in pattaya or live like a brokie in miami.

Sounds like you already have plenty of friends to advise you. I don't know why you're asking on this forum

If you have rich friends there then why are you asking silly questions here?

Yes join Bob and Big bird, people will love you here.

Well maybe some will most are fed up with all these made up stories.

Because there is no way any of them can get by on 186k a month.  I have to ask people not on their level.

Ah, the too busy trying to look wealthy to actually be wealthy and pay cash for that car 😉

No. Its because interest levels are low for car finance, why lock up good momey

Why are you looking at and including school costing when you say you have no family?

Because I am interested in what the schools charge its the same as the UK.

Plus of course general living expenses, say 60k.
Comes up 94k short. Should stay home until he can afford it.

If you wanna do a girl daily and then also some drinks in the bars left and right, that easily can be 3-5K daily already. If you would do strictly the short time version girls, and perhaps via dating sites instead of bars, you could get it at 1-1.5K per time.

So basically to keep things actually fun, I would already forget about renting for so much money, that is an absolute waste with that budget. If you would rent for max 30-40K including utilities, your plan is realistic, and still leaves room for some holidays and stuff too.

If you gonna live that lifestyle, the cheaper you rent is actually the better, there is not much benefit to more than 20-30K a month, and girls don't care either, they just wanna get paid + you are a lot outside.

Solid advice between the ridicule off jealous guys. Thank you.  I will have to downgrade the house,  I'm not compromising on the girls yet.

They are not "rich."  They are in debt in order to drive around a status symbol that makes them look wealthy.
It's amazing how many people, especially Thais, who will place themselves into crippling debt in order to appear as they have wealth.  But all that is is a BS illusion.  Your friends paying 86K/month for a car payment are stupid.

A rich person can buy their car with cash unless there is a business reason or tax advantage to financing.
Debt doesn't make you rich, does it @bob smith?  Debt may be useful in creating revenue and profits.  it has it's place.  Financing your status-symbol on four wheels with debt ain't one of them.  Just saying.....

Why would they pay cash when they can use their cash to make much more money than what the interest is on their loan?

How can you summarise they are not wealthy without looking at all their offshore investments and local assets?

How do you know they are in debt? They can pay the cars off in seconds of they need to. You are thinking too many levels below.

Years ago a friend of mine did an experiment on here.  He wrote his true income anonymously and his budget. I think it was around 800,000 a month.  He was called a troll and swiftly banned.

This is why people don't post their income if its reasonable.

Or they're lying about there "reasonable"  income to try to impress someone.

Jealous?  No.  I find it fascinating to watch how people p*ss their hard-earned money away as opposed to making it work for them.
There is a huge difference between needs and wants.  People who understand the difference can live very fulfilling lives.  But in my experience those who cannot differentiate between a true "need" and their endless "wants" tend to end up brash, cynical, and at the end, bankrupted.  But!  He who has the most toys and power when they die - WINS!!!

Most recent Grand-winner?  Henry Kissinger.
Good luck taking all that power and money with ya Henry ol' chap.

Same for all those here who believe their poo smells like roses as they shake a handful of cash at other members here and indulge us with endless stories of their excesses and riches.  Want to see truly wealthy foreigners?  Try Singapore.

Rent a nice house for 20,000 and save enough for a threesome

Every other day.

Believe me the ladies will bore you very soon. Bragging how much income you have is ok here just don't do it in the bars.

Haha, I was thinking this thread starts with "Bragging in the form of a question."

But OP should be fine with that income.

Best not to let the Thai girls know your income or you will be a marked man for those girls who are looking for a man to  "take care".

Was just going through the Panama Papers and found some interesting links from Singapore. Registered at my building.

I give thanks every single day of my life that I chose not to go the route of parenthood. When I read something like this, it makes me extra thankful. Such nonsense. Cannot even imagine having to dish out that kind of money here. That is London, or Chicago money.

I feel exactly the same way. I would have loved to have the perfect wife and 2 or 3 kids only if the situation was perfect. Which it never was or is.

Thankfully I have stayed single with zero regret.

Define decent ?

Nice 1 bedroom condo along with Internet/phone/elect/water for 20,000 baht. The other 30,000 baht available to spend is up to you.

Not bad at all.

I don't know where you are from but that's not a good income where I live. Hardly anything to boast about. If I had a family I would be stuffed.

Well the real question now is whether you want to share your booze, for the rest of your life, with Cheap Charlies trying to teach you how to have a good life in Pattaya with less than 50k a month..

All that so called money and he can't find a loving permanent girlfriend and must resort to hookers.

He probably needs the money to pay for his STD treatments if he is "using" hookers every night!

The last thing some of us want is a permanent girlfriend. But feel free to call us names, and make up stories if that makes you happy.

My comment was not addressed to you, but to the OP!

But if you want to wear the badge of permanent hooker shame and show that you are unable to get a steady relationship then go ahead and wear that badge of inadequacy!

Everything is relative.

I'm not sure i could have properly taken advantage of a pro everyday even when I was 20.    Not sure I would be satisfied with a gal with those distant looks on their faces you see on pornhub.

But if you alter your rent 50k all in.

And exercise every other night  50k

That leaves you with 8o+k for food and drink.

But ..  some guys find a nice live in gal and survive on 50- 60k. So even if you say 85k then that leaves 100k for a Mia noi.   Wife tells me they are not cheap.

Main thing is you wont be able to hang with your rich buddies unless they are generous.
