Lots of hi so Thai politicians and wanted fugitives abscond to the UK. No hassle for them buying property and no 90 day reports. Thaksin and his sister Yingluk two examples.

The beauty of these halcyon days of "migration" to the West is all that a non-farang has to do is to get within the borders of a Western nation and then utter the words - "Asylum."

Surely UK police checks would not allow this to move past first base.

why not? The charges are alleged not provem.......what are you expecting police checks in the UK to unearth? This hasn't been to court and may not do for quite some time. Innocent until proven guilty? The UK authorities would have no grounds to deny this - it might be revoked though at some time in the future.

It is cheaper and quicker to get an Antigua and Barbuda passport for 100K USD.

So, you have been paying 100k USD for a passport. You know that you almost get one for free based on your own nationality, right? Must be wanted. Have a red notice? 😂

As long as there are criminal proceedings against her, she will not receive citizenship in any country in the world except North Korea or Russia...how naive this woman must be:post-4641-1156694572:

Follow Tony’s example and go live in Dubai much nicer than the UK no doubt his sister could do with some company while she waits for her brother to arrange her safe return to Thailand

Uk citizenship based on exactly what? She has a better chance flying to France then ditching her passport and any ID’s and jumping in a boat and come across that way. Seems to work for everyone else. She’ll get the red carpet and fast tracked when they see its a female.

Yes but does she identify as being a female?

One can never be too sure these days...

Or what flavour is in style to suit the purpose.

It would be a travesty of justice if she was granted UK citizenship or anything else that would permit her to stay in the country.  Can Thailand file for her to be extradited back to Thailand?

My maths is pretty basic, but receiving a total of 200 million baht from monthly payments of 159,000 baht maximum would take more than 104 years....

Thai's can't count more than the fingers they have but they know how to steal money faster than they need to count it !

She reportedly received monthly cash transfers of between 59,000 to 159,000 baht to her bank account via a network of 'horse accounts'.

Sorry. In the Thai universe, this is penny-ante stuff. I'm surprised anybody noticed.

The UK does have anti money laundering laws which require immigrants to prove their source of wealth.

For her to show-up and probably buy a multi-million £ mansion in London, she would need to show how she got all that money when her husband only made around 60,000baht month salary.

Yingluck will give her some tips on that😀

Incidentally, Torsak is still Chief of Police, he is on suspension attached to the PMs office along with his deputy Big Joke.

An Acting Chief of Police has been appointed.

As the wife of a crook, she should pay a heavy price for his crimes. Same applies to their kids. They benefitted from the ill gotten wealth. At a minimum they should be subject to great humiliation and outed.

Even if she got British citizenship (she won't) then the UK has a mechanism for dealing with, and seizing "unexplained" or ill gotten wealth. This was used against the wife of a central asian country's corrupt banker.

A complete non storey. You can't just apply for UK citizenship on a whim, it's a long drawn out 5 year process just to get permanent permission to remain. Getting a UK passport takes longer.

now 10 years 😆

She watched to many illegals coming across the Channel in Rubber boats to the UK and thought hey how much do you want from me to allow me free entrance? That'll work in Thailand but not the UK.

People just don't realize the kind of money involved, for the top clowns in the RTP pyramid scheme, like Torsak and the Joke. It would sure be nice to see some of them convicted. It would demonstrate a true step forward.

Why do you mention 'the Joke' in your comment?
