How about pushing up the very low criteria of what your looking for in a person, I have never had trouble finding women 1 that have a job 2 earn what many would consider a high salary here, yes yes "after" there can be many reasons for "her" to be at home like having kids etc, but then she's back to work, the talk in forums like this sends out the wrong messages that to have a Thai GF, wife etc its a business preposition.....

It's up to your personal taste. I know enough women with decent enough jobs. Most of them are not according to my taste. And what is a good salary in Thailand? I guess 20k per month is already above average.

Personally, I like what some people call traditional. The guy works, the wife takes care of the house, food, etc.

I have a good friend who earned about 300k THB per month. His wife, Thai/Chinese, works. They both don't want any strangers in their home. So now he is doing the cleaning, together with his wife. Actually, now he is retired, and he does most of the cleaning, his wife is still working. That is definitely not what I want. But maybe that is according to your taste.

I could never understand paying a monthly salary. Most women will spend it within the first two weeks and will then be begging for a 'loan' to tide them over or will have to find money some otherway. Either way it will cost you.

 

I pay a weekly salary - much better.

No im retired, means over 60 and my living in partner is moving out off her mid 30s,  has a career earning a salary that would make you blush. Sure im generous when we do some shopping from time to time, the holidays overseas, she doesn't contribute to the house hold normally but she opens her purse from time to time and yeah she does buy me the odd gift that costs more then 500B from time to time, the odd dinner etc...

 

And no GF sex is not boring, some of us know what love is and how to be in love and recognize  it when your getting it....

Dont take it as bragging, loads of career women here earning a ton the trouble is lot of the guys are looking in the wrong places for them...

100,000 a month salary is a difficult goal to achieve for Thai women especially once they hit 40. Both international and Thai companies have a salary cap on Thai nationals.

 

Those women must have a very specific set of skills or they are self employed

My wife actually makes very close to 100,000 in a Japanese company.  She is in industrial manufacturing. She hires and fires people all the time. I think she knows a bit better than you about facts. There is simply not plenty of well off middle class Thais around and very very few earn over 100,000.

 

Previous wife worked for Siemens BTS project. Salary not even 50,000 after 20 years. She had money because of her land in Surat Thani.

 

Previous gf worked for 3M...15 years....salary 55,000.

What's attractive got to do with salary range?

 

My previous TGFs worked for multi nationals, not all and that certainly reflected there salary, but they might've had the spunk to go after jobs like that, did say I like smart women......one of my close Thai female friends works for an insurance company its Thai but might be affiliated with an overseas one, she's a manager or was and currently no staff under her as her role is now a trainer as she was one of there top sales staff earlier in her career, she earns 105,000 a month, I seen her pay slip 2ys before covid (so she could actually be on more now, 44,) when she was doing her visa to come visit me in AU.

 

Anyway enough on this subject it seems to be flairing up all the guys who have made what could be less than great decisions on there other half...

Talk about clutching at straws, I heard right now the used car market is pretty close to stagnate in Thailand because a lot off EV car makers are offering 0% repayments, its economics mate, so there for there are 3million, (or would be more as a Thai wouldn't dirty there hands going into a second hand house), vacant houses in BKK and cities all over Thailand on your estimations...

 

What a load of s*h*I*t, one of my well paid ex TGF's bought a second hand town house in BKK....and she was happy and content....So did my current partner by the way.

 

Like I said, its repeated in here like parrots do so when it reaches 500 times it becomes a fact.

Ho by the way my smart TGF 6 weeks ago refinanced her (used) home loan and got a pretty good deal which averages out at 3.8% either over 3 or 5 ys so dont quote me on that, she last week enquired on the interest rate for a possible purchase, a second home loan did not stipulate new or second hand and was quoted a similar figure to the one she got on the current town house....

 

Yeah sure different banks different figures she found that out but she got the deal she wanted which debunks what you where saying about lower % for new, just have to do the leg work hey?
