Patong – An intoxicated British motorbike rider was found with methamphetamine in Patong on Friday (May 24th).

The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that they had set up a checkpoint near the Dolphin Roundabout on the Taweewong Road in Patong. At 4:00 A.M. in the morning, an unidentified 34 year-old British man was stopped at the checkpoint.

 

He was found in possession of an undisclosed amount of methamphetamine.

Is it just me or is the drugs are bad drum sounding more frequently at the moment, it's almost as if some group has asked for more coverage on such events.

Yes, WOT??? Here we just have another one o' our lads 'avin' a bit o' fun. Why spoil the fun? Our lad should have been given an understanding smile and waved through to carry on drunk driving and enjoying his meth. Get them Thais instead! After ALL the Thais are locked up, and the Red Bull heir brought to justice, THEN the police can dare suggest a Brit not drive drunk and possess meth.

The tourism industry and Thai economy are going to be devastated if they keep this up.

 

A civilized country, like the paradise of the UK, knows to ignore drunk driving and meth possession by the lads. Brits should be free to be Brits! God save the King! It's OK; nothing to see here!

If you look at the photo it is a very small amount but the Cops are trying to make it sound like some big bust. Why did the Phuket Express not ask the cops the amount. Good pointing though Brit Boy ..

Firstly, the amount is tiny - its not as if he was dealing, so the faux outrage by the Police, the photo's, the pointing is all just a btt too much pantomime which highlights elements of hypocrisy considering how rife this drug is amongst the Thai populace.

One or two miscreants aside, the vast majority of visitors do respect the laws of the country. It's the locals that seem not to.
