I don't see how it matters whether a ladyboy is considered a man or a woman. If you're attracted to ladyboys you already know what you like so the classification is irrelevant. Ladyboys are just like any other people. Some are nice, some are not. Some have serious mental health issues, which I think is quite easy to notice early on. If you are with a ladyboy you will naturally be gossiped about and get lots of stares from others. This could put a strain on your relationship if either of you is insecure.

Good transition package is way too expensive - surgeries, hormones, supporting drugs, treatments and lots of others.

Friend used to run "medical tours" for exactly that surgeries in Thailand for foreigners frim Eastern Europe - it is quite costly to maintain that cute look OP talks about.

I'm very tolerant and have no negative feelings towards ladyboys and what I will say should not be seen as hate speech - I'm just someone who likes to describe reality as it really is.

 

That being said, with the exception of real hermaphrodites being born with both male and female genitalia (occurrence is approx. 1 in a million), no male having his male genitalia removed becomes a woman, because what they get after removal is different from female genitalia. They get some skin flabs and a cavity that can look like female genitalia from the outside but aren't female genitalia, it's imitation.

So many things in the world these days are imitation, but if they work well then they can be put to good use. In fact, some things like synthetic engine oil is even better than real engine oil for certain uses. That's just an example of one of many.

I have a couple friends who are in long term relationships with ladyboys. They’re good people, not sexworkers, not scammers and their relationships aren’t that different than farangs who are dating Thai women. If you’re into that and find someone you like. Go for it.

You can sleep quiet - psychiatry does not consider gynandromorphophilia as homosexual, not even with the male bits still attached.

 

Uneducated masses will however insist on the contrary, similarly to "alcoholism is not a disease" or "underage sex is paedophilia". Things have a precise medical definition, but a majority of people just prefers to utter nonsense and ignore definitions.

The absolutely most drop-dead gorgeous woman I ever saw in my entire life was the lead actor at Tiffany's in Pattaya pre-covid. I don't know what pronouns they use, so I'm just gonna use she and her. The cast stands outside for selfies (negligible fee/tip) after the show, and she was stunning. I believe she had undergone serious surgery to make a beautiful figure 8 body and most likely a shaved Adam's apple - not a hint of one. One thing to think about is the fact that everything about them could be fake.  Their appearance, their personality, their intelligence.  You can only really know from getting to know someone slowly and over a long period of time. 

 

The challenge is that not only do you have to do the normal level of vetting, in terms of getting to know their personally, values, etc., but you also have to consider the fact that they might be very poor and completely out to scam you with a totally fake life.  They are also in a place where everyone they know might think that deceiving and scamming a foreigner is completely morally acceptable and the right thing to do, so even getting to know their friends and family doesn't solve the problem of finding out who they are.

 

This doesn't mean that everyone is like that, but it's something you cannot ignore as a foreign person.
