Trump Rally in Butler PA

Someone described the shots were from 200-300 yards. Trump was incredibly lucky. Iran is my 1st suspected culprit

The shooter's gun has been variously described as a .22 or a 'rabbit gun'. The shots rang out just as he turned his head to the right and a bullet allegedly clipped his right ear. Maybe the shooter thought he was "American Sniper" but was a bit underpowered for the head-shot?

"Historically, firearms chambered in .22 have been used for things like hunting small game, pest control, plinking or training new shooters how to use a gun for the first time. ..."

Nick his ear.

Good thing most idiots can't shoot for sh!t :coffee1:

Actually surprised the 'deep state' hasn't taken him out already.   Although he does fit will in the divisive tactics.   And the EC / puppeteers can appoint who ever they want for president.

the ear is attached to the head, so from outside the event,  it would seem quite a good shot

If you can't aim or shoot well, then use the right tools for the right job.   They make some amazing scopes.

Thankfully he was a total idiot.

R I P to the victim, hopefully it stays at 1.

A .223 is same as what comes out of a M16.  Larger shell of course.  I wouldn't want to hit with a little ol' 22LR, as it picks up some speed on the way.   As proven, the results can be deadly.

Ruger Mini 14, promo as a 'range rifle' for vermin, when first released.   Also fires the same cartridge as the M16.  Don't let that '.22' designation fool you.

Lots of unknowns, but I just read it was an AR style rifle, meaning more likely it was .223 than .22LR.  If it was fired from over 100 yards away, the sound could be confused with a .22LR.  From that distance, I doubt you'd hear a .22LR over the ambient noise of a speech.

Image result for .22lr vs .223

A .22 is lethal. For pest control we normally use something like a pellet gun to shoot birds off of eaves or keep raccoons at bay. Otherwise you end up with holes in your siding. To say a 22 isn't worthy of killing a person is a moronic assessment. Anyway, all kidding aside, you can't fire a 22 into the air or anything other than an earthen burm or you will be charged with reckless discharge.

Rabbit gun suggests .22 Long Rifle not .223 as used in AR15

.22 "long rifle" rimfire even .22 short can penetrate the skull. it is only a fraction of the power of a . 223/5.56 load, a . 22lr 40 grain bullet out of a rifle is around 130 ft-lbs of energy. The skull requires in excess of 12Ft/lb of energy to penetrate - hence that is the limit in UK for pellet guns.

Note .223/5.56 as in M16/AR15  is a high velocity necked rifle cartridge not to be confused with ".22" The 223 generally has a muzzle energy of 1,200 ft-lbs.

His previous comments were without merit to begin with, let's just hope he stops posting absurd tripe.

He will rise in polls again.

He rose in the betting markets:

Trump Chances of Winning Presidency Surge in Betting Markets After Apparent Assassination Attempt

As Trump was being rushed off the stage, the former president raised his fist in the air in defiance as the crowd chanted “USA! USA! USA!” Elon Musk immediately endorsed Trump for president as observers quickly turned to politics amid the tragic events.

Bettors have had a strong track record of picking the President, only losing twice since the 1800’s.  (That seems better than a poll, eh?)

The whole episode looks completely staged. Now we are seeing photos of a bloodied Trump under the US flag, with his fist raised in defiance.

Real or psy op?

Somebody in the stands died.  Was this staged as well? Not a fan of Trump but someone with a long rifle in a distant and elevated fired at Tromp.  Missed Trump but his three othe people.  One died.

Maybe the late Chris Kyle could have made this shot but very difficult to land a head shot while the target is not stationary. Lots of factors that can impact the trajectory of the round(wind, temperature and even humidity).

An issue maybe is that it is July and Americans tend to have short memories.  If this had happened in late October or right before the election then it would have been a slam dunk win for Trump.

It appears from the report to the BBC that the gunman was on a roof 150 yards from the podium. In this elevated position a gun shot 'clipping' Trump's right ear would have then travelled on into the crowd of his supporters behind him. If there were a number of shots fired (as can be heard), presumably towards the podium anyone know if this is where the fatality occurred? Looking at video of the shooting the supporters immediately behind don't appear to have anyone injured.

Someone please post something confirming AR-15 bc everything I read states - AR TYPE weapon.

.223 round that's a sniper

.22lr that's a nutcase

From hundreds of meters away..that's a scope. How could that happen?

News blackout on shooter's identity WHY? Just like tranny shooter before. Maybe call him Oswald for now 😳

Looking at video imo four to five shots fired from rooftop.

A body was dragged out in a video. Don't they protect crime scene? Seems hasty

Someone overhead - let me get my shoes from person they were dragging out?? Anyone??

Reading possibly two shooters.

I'm just saying by November Joe might be in a nursing home and the Dem's might have a candidate that is younger than a great grandpa.
