Nonthaburi, 21 August around 08:00, a man (name withheld) woke up and went to use the bathroom as usual, and before sitting on the toilet, he as always flushed it first to check for any unwanted surprises.

This was no different, he flushed, lifted the lid, sat down, and suddenly felt something bite him in a very sensitive area. The pain was intense as he reached down, and to his shock, grabbed the neck of a snake, which had sunk its fangs into his skin.

In a panic, he jumped up and tried to pull the snake off. He wasn’t feeling much pain at that moment, just pure fear. As he gripped the snake's neck tightly and he tried to yank it out of the toilet, but it was incredibly strong and wouldn’t budge. In shock and anger, he noticed the toilet brush nearby and grabbed it and started hitting the snake repeatedly, forgetting that he was still holding onto its neck with his other hand.

He ended up hitting his own fingers in the process, though he didn’t feel it at the time. He kept hitting until the snake finally went limp. After that, he carefully pulled it out of the toilet and left it lying on the floor, dead.

He immediately called the complex’s security guard to dispose of the snake and asked his neighbour to take him to the hospital. Luckily, it was just a non-venomous python and his blood tests came back normal. The bite had eft a mark, and pulling the snake off caused some additional injury.

He posted the pictures on his facebook as a warning of the dangers during rainy season, and especially it flooded areas.

  • I was in Krabi last week having a piss behind a tree when I spotted a 12 foot python. It was coming for me but then saw my python and it scuttled off in fear.

After rain earlier this week, this one was captured in a residential area, near Sattahip.

  • On the bright side his new confident chat up line is do you want to see my python  🤔

We saw a baby King Cobra outside our downstairs bedroom a couple of years ago, did all we could to block the door etc. Kept finding them, then found about 6 broken eggshells in a storage box in the en suite bathroom/laundry. We were trying to keep them out but they started off inside, so we were stopping them getting out.. Mother must have gone in and left through the shower drain. I stood on one as I carried a load of wet washing outside to dry.

A snake and a trouser snake

Syphoned a python apparently.

It might be time to move to a high rise penthouse and take the dumps of the edge of the balcony.

Not enough.

They come up through the pipes and drains.

I still peek in the toilet, to make sure nothing waiting, out of habit.  Even knowing the sceptic tanks are sealed and no real entry points.

The house is fairly snake proof.   The walled yard, not so much, even after the OTT effort and mod to the gates & doors.   They still manage to get in, to the point I'll do a walk around before letting the dog out for a sniff.   For a quick P, she's on the leash, so not to run around ... a leash in your own yard 🙄

Did flushing the toilet first make it mad?

He may have gotten away with murder if he had quietly dropped a long on it.

I knew it!

For years your parents, hell everyone tells you, no, nothing can come up the pipe and bite you on your ass when taking care of business.

This month a lot of snakes around, spotted 3 so far, 2 got squished by cars, almost stepped on the third.

But 5am, walking along the klong. "hmm, that looks like a very long lizard... nope that is a Burmese python on its way to the river."

The people who built the plumbing should be held liable. There are simple systems with a locket that prevent such dangerous things from occuring, Not the first time that a person gets bit by a snake in Thailand, while on the toilet.

Through the septic tank overflow.

This is wrong on so many levels..... Snake abuse...

He kept hitting until the snake finally went limp.

at that point the real snake had nothing left to hold onto and let go

Did it bite his penis?

I think it hung onto his gonads.

There was no need, whatsoever, to kill the python. Cruel ba....ds.

By way of a Public Service Announcement:

Always check the toilet and your shoes for critters before use.

Also it is important to check your bell pepper plants for crabs regularly.

Another report said he was bitten on his testicles.

Must be a Brit snake. Eggs and sausage in the morning is a classic
