Indian Gang Violence in Pattaya Sparks Public Concern [Video]

Pattaya – In a worrying display of lawlessness, an Indian gang in Pattaya viciously attacked one of their own in broad daylight, leaving the victim sprawled on the ground while witnesses stood horrified. The incident occurred opposite Wat Chai Mongkhon on South Pattaya Road.

The disturbing event was captured by surveillance cameras and witness videos. The footage begins with a tall man in a suit approaching a smaller man dressed in a white T-shirt and shorts. Without warning, the taller man grabs the smaller man's collar and starts punching him.

Within moments, another man joins in, kicking and hitting the already assaulted individual. The victim tried to escape but was overpowered just in front of a nearby shop, where the attack escalated as more gang members joined in, despite the victim's desperate attempts to fend them off, reported News Channel 7.

The gang's brutal treatment of their fellow member indicates a brazen disregard for public order, raising serious concerns among residents and local businesses. Even as onlookers shouted that the police were on their way, nearly ten gang members continued their assault before eventually dispersing as sirens were heard approaching.

Our site visit revealed a grim reality. According to a local motorcycle taxi driver, brawls involving members of this Indian gang occur all too frequently. Each time the police are alerted, the gang members scatter and evade arrest, only to return later and resume their violent behaviour.

This particular incident has amplified calls from locals for more frequent police patrols in the area. There is a growing fear that future altercations could involve weapons, putting innocent bystanders at risk. Residents are desperate for a more robust police presence to curb the escalating violence and restore a sense of security in their community.

The local authorities have yet to release an official statement on their plans to address this ongoing issue, but community leaders are urging immediate action before the situation deteriorates further.

It´s quite amazing that 10 people can hit and kick on him and he just stands up time after time. Must be great power in India fists and feet. Poor little mommy´s boys, that wouldn´t stand a chance against one experienced street fighter. Just hope they meet one very soon.

Jail them for 1 year after deportation and banned for life.

You let in garbage and must now deal with the consequence of that action.

An Indian man lost consciousness on a footpath along Pattaya Tai Road after being attacked by a gang of fellow countrymen in the early hours of yesterday.

A video of the physical assault went viral on Thai social media yesterday, August 22. The footage showed the Indian victim running away from a group of fellow countrymen along Pattaya Tai Road but he was unable to get far.

One Indian attacker in a dark blue suit waited for him outside Mueang Pattaya School. The attacker approached the victim, before choking, kicking and pushing the victim to the ground. Other attackers then arrived at the scene and continued the assault.

Some Indian men did not join the assault but recorded a video of the incident. Thai people in the area intervened in the physical assault, prompting the Indian attackers to leave the scene on their motorcycles.

A Thai motorcycle taxi rider, La-ong, told Channel 7 that he only witnessed the arrival of the rescue team, who provided first aid to the Indian man and took him to hospital. He had no clue about the cause of the attack.

Another motorcycle taxi rider, Yut, stated that the attack shocked people who had just finished their night shifts and were travelling home. However, he was not surprised, as many similar incidents have previously occurred in the area.

Police have not yet intervened in the matter, while locals have urged officials to take action as this violent incident could negatively affect Pattaya’s reputation.

In a related report, two groups of Kuwaiti nationals clashed in Soi Yensabai in Pattaya on the night of August 7. Fortunately, officers from Mueang Pattaya Police Station managed to intervene before the argument turned into a physical altercation.

Another violent altercation occurred between a Thai motorcycle rider and a Polish driver in Chon Buri on August 20. The Thai man stabbed the Polish man in the neck after a traffic dispute. Friends of the Thai national later arrived at the scene attempting to gang-attack the foreigner but the police intervened in time.

Another clash took place at a bar in Pattaya when a drunk, unidentified foreigner attacked a German man and his Thai wife after the German man intervened in an argument between the foreigner and some Thai women at the bar.

The amazing thing is, how they just stand around after the attack as if they knew no one was coming.

Hahahaha.. wow with the free for all visa rules - u now get foreign gangs from different countries carving out fiefdom and terrorising their own countryman in Thailand. Very soon some areas will be controlled by these different nationalities gangs🤣🤣🤣

Thai should learn that this was how the local Triads started in early 20th century in the different countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and even in California Chinatowns n Korean town.  New foreigners will then pay protection money to the local triads or gangs from their own countries because they don’t get protection from local police. Even the local police will seek foreign gangs to control and maintain public peace .. 🤣🤣🤣

We are soon witnessing the same in Thailand if the Thai government do not realise this….

Surely you're not implying that they could just be 'fronts' for other nefarious 'business activities'?!🙂

Biggest mistake of allowing them to come Thailand visa free. The govt had no idea how these lowlife are they bring all the nasty behaviour to everywhere. They should reinstate the visa on arrival.

Most of us understood that. 🙂 Seems like there was only one that needed to point it out as usual.

I am not sure which is the worst Tourist destination  getting the most bad publicity Pattaya or Phuket these days 🤔

Both supposed to be best known for  quality  Tourists coming to Thailand

The police need to start arresting more of these people getting Thailand a bad reputation 😱

Indian gangs have been present in Thailand for hundreds of years. Bangkok has seen any number of high-profile murders between Indian gangs over the years.  Old line Indian families control almost all the land of Lower Sukhumvit in Bangkok, including Nana Plaza.

Some years ago I bought a coffee table from an old Indian lady in a shop in lower Sukhumvit BKK. She said that her father had arrived in Thailand from India 106 years previously.

If the muppets in the video ask for protection money, they end up in the hospital themselves.
