Trump Harris: Who won the debate ?

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Maga's will maintain that Trump won, and mainly justify that by bashing Harris.
Never Trumpers will maintain that Harris won and cite various reasons why they feel this.

Irrespective, I feel that his performance tonight will not win him anymore votes and indeed might cost him votes. There is no need for him to court Trumpers as they will never change their mind, but in trying to sway swing, independent's and those on the fence I believe he failed. Guess we will find out soon enough.

I thought it was a bit boring. Trump being Trump and Harris not answering the questions.

Trump's final statement was strong. All of this "on day one", and "new beginning" and "we have to do better than this" from Harris when the Dems have been in power for 12 of the last 16 years and she has been VP for the last 3.5 years is pretty stupid. Trump highlighted that and that's what will stick in many people's minds since the rest of it was pretty forgettable IMO.

The vision part of the debate from Trump"new beginning"  was?

Didn't watch it at all, and no plan to, especially if on a MSM moderated platform.  What's the point, as bias right from the start.

I can see plenty of vids of him talking policy, and his past experience of being president vs her vids of word salads.

I know which one I would want to represent me .... but ... I also know which one I hope gets appointed.   And they definitely aren't the same person.

Excuses...accusations of bias from MSM (?)...lyin' eyes...I didn't watch and don't care...yet I still keep speaking in this thread about the debate I didn't watch and don't care about....

News for you which you may have missed somehow...Presidents aren't appointed, they're elected. I know things aren't going the way you wished and Trump's disastrous debate was on a par with Biden's "dead man talking" performance. It's okay, you're going to be alright, Kamala and the Democrats aren't coming for you. In fact they're going to protect your access to health care so you and your cohort can rest easy in your diapers just like...you know...

That was the one you dreamed. The real one was rather different.

IMO Harris doesn't know what "positive" means.

Voters vote for their future not the past.

Trump being Trump is the problem in the debate.

Harris has to remind Trump numerous time that he is running against her, not Biden.

Voters judge politicians on past performance.

Not vague words like Hope, Joy and Progress with no policies in place to achieve such things.

He crossed the bounds of sanity in his first few minutes, but when he got to the part about immigrants eating cats he became certifiable.

Barking mad.

"Kamala Harris" wants to do another debate because she got beaten so bad tonight, I don't know if we're going to do another one. I wouldn't mind..." Trump speaking to the press right now in the spin room

Laugh? I nearly paid my TV licence.

Even faux news says Trump lost. But, oh, oh oh, Its not over. Hint: it will be Nov 5.

Trump was the more convincing of the two.

Both handled the truth carelessly.

Indeed. When she has done nothing much for 3 1/2 years it's a bit much expecting us to believe she will be a different person if elected

Trump did zero, zilch, zip for 4 years when it came to rolling out his health "reforms". He was too busy playing golf. Now he has a concept of a plan.

It's a bit much expecting us to believe he will be a different person if elected.

So, all we've got are KhunLA and ThaiBeachLovers (and they're having a go at each other), one sad comment from JonnyF and that's it? Even our Right-wing friends realize how badly DJT just got his butt handed to him by the supposed "DEI candidate", the one who was completely unaccomplished, the one who's done nothing to deserve the Presidency.

This was a "red-headed stepchild", this was a "rented mule", this was a "runaway slave" type of whoopin'.

As for Trump, I don't know if a caricature is even possible. He just lived up, or is that down, to the reality of who he is.

The reality is that Harris could only try and score points with lies, starting by blaming Trump for Covid. SOS.

He took the bait.

On a positive note for Trump, his portrayal of a rambling bitter old man unable to stick to any topic without wandering off into fabricated gibberish was spot on.

Balls, all she did was attack him, and as expected and hardly mentioned her socialist policies. She has always been a failure out of her depth, and if elected will continue to be so.

I remember the left were also claiming Biden did great against Trump. He was gone 2 weeks later.

Gaslighting. It's what the left do.

As a neutral observer I can say it was fairly even until the closing arguments, then Trump pulled away.

Jonny, Biden isn’t the Democratic Candidate for this election, and he never was.

As a totally ill informed and very clearly partisan commentator you get an awful lot wrong.

Okay, let's see some receipts please. Point to a single post of us Lefties who said who said Biden won the debate. One. No? Yet another desperate lie, and, surprise surprise, gaslighting!

Remember what I say pretty much every day because it just keeps happening... Every accusation is a confession. Every. Single. One.

And if any further proof is required, all I can say is "as a neutral observer..." ROTFLMMFAO!!!

More showing Harris' debate performance moved the needle in her favor:

Who won the Harris-Trump debate? We asked swing-state voters.

September 11, 2024

In the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump, The Washington Post tried something new: We asked a group of uncommitted, swing-state voters in real time about their reactions to Tuesday’s debate.

They thought Harris performed better, regardless of how they plan to vote in November.

If that's true, get used to saying President Harris.

He entered office with 4.8% UE and a positive GDP. He left office with 6.8% UE and a Recession.

Oh, and the "Commander-in-Chief" claimed (actually, lied) that he wasn't responsible for dealing with the Insurrection on 6 January. He sat on his fat arse for 187 minutes when he was asked to send National Guard troops to the Capitol. He oft says the lie that the Speaker is responsible, or the Mayor of DC, when for a Federal Building it is the President.

She, OTOH, entered office with a Recession and 6.8% UE, and currently US GDP is outperforming all OECD nations and UE is ~4%.

Of course he 'has a plan', or at least 'a concept of a plan', which 'we will release shortly'.....just like his health plan when he had 4 years in office and an (R) House and Senate for the first 2 years.  And 'next week' is probably Infrastructure Week.

You seem to have misunderstood my post. Read it again.

Harris could have performed as badly as Biden did and people like you would still be saying she was great. Because that's what they were saying about Biden. It's leftist gaslighting. Par for the course.

The only reason some people are so excited about Harris' performance is because expectations were so low.
