Popular Post Georgealbert Posted November 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 3, 2024 The scene unfolded in the early hours of the morning of November 4, on Pattaya 3rd Road, near South Pattaya Road Intersection when an unusual incident at a local game café caught the attention of the authorities. A foreign man reportedly fell from his room above the establishment, landing on the roof of the gaming venue below, with his leg going through both the roof and false ceiling. Game players continued playing as the leg swung above them. Witnesses immediately called emergency services to the scene, fearing the worst. Upon arrival, rescue personnel assessed the situation and found the man, who appeared slightly intoxicated but otherwise ok and assisted in carefully retrieving the him from his precarious position, pulling his leg out of the roof and returning him to the ground. Surprisingly, he emerged almost unscathed, with little injuries, other than some minor cuts and bruises, despite the descent and partial crash through the roof. Details of the man were withheld by authorities. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Pictures from responders. -- 2024-11-04 1 1 23

Georgealbert Posted November 4, 2024 Author Posted November 4, 2024 UPDATE British Tourist’s Leg Falls Through Roof in Pattaya Hotel Incident A British tourist, heavily intoxicated, fell from the second-floor balcony of the Freelancer Hotel in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung District, crashing through the roof of an adjacent internet café. The incident occurred at the GLP Internet Café, where patrons were shocked as the man’s legs appeared dangling through the ceiling, sparking immediate calls for emergency assistance. Rescue teams from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation rushed to the scene at approximately 02.05 on November 4, where they found Mr. Paul Hadfield, a 51-year-old British national, partially protruding through the ceiling, calling for help. Emergency responders managed to carefully extract him from the damaged ceiling and provided initial medical treatment on-site before transporting him to a local hospital. An inspection revealed that Mr. Hadfield had fallen from his second-floor hotel room balcony, landing on the café’s roof and breaking through the ceiling. Further investigation in his hotel room, Room 210, uncovered a considerable mess, with fecal matter and urine, spread across the bed and floor, creating a strong and unpleasant odour. A witness, Somrak Sensoh, 28, who was in the café at the time, recounted hearing a loud noise from above and, upon looking up, was stunned to see two legs hanging through the ceiling. He immediately called for assistance after realising a foreigner was trapped and in need of help. While Mr. Hadfield sustained only minor injuries, authorities noted that he appeared highly intoxicated and had left his room in a disoriented state. Picture from responders. -- 2024-11-04 1

mran66 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 If this would happen in some place, would probably be top national news headline. In Pattaya just another day in game cafe 1
Burma Bill Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 I have heard of "leg over" but "leg down" - different!!
JK-Trilly Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Well, that’s one way to drop in for a high score! Imagine the gamers’ surprise when a mystery leg burst through the ceiling—quite the immersive experience, though perhaps not the kind of “first-person shooter” they had in mind. Props to the man for showing true grit; despite a leg-down, he came out almost unscathed. That’s some serious durability stats right there—who needs armor when you’ve got a little liquid courage? While authorities investigate, I’d suggest installing a new achievement for the café: “Survived Random Encounter with Stray Leg.” And if our friend ever returns, hopefully next time he’ll remember the classic gamer rule: always mind your step.

Popular Post madmitch Posted November 4, 2024 Popular Post Posted November 4, 2024 We had a similar incident at our guesthouse a few years ago when a British tourist fell through a window. Apparently he decided to sit on the external a/c compressor unit to have a smoke. He fell feet first through the roof below and landed in a twin tub washing machine! The roof was repairable, the washing machine was a write- off! But he and his friend did agree that paying for the damage was a better option than us calling the police. The guest was pretty much unscathed apart from a few minor scratches! Lucky man! 1 2
