2. Crosswalk light broken

3. WC at Makro open at 10:05 (not for long)

4. Macro urinal malfunctioning in two regards

  • When travelling, you never arrive at a new place at 10pm in the evening. Just asking for trouble.

    8. None of the motorcycle taxis (guys in orange vests) have spare helmets. Some don't even have their own.

10pm Friday, the taxi drivers were likely all down on beach road taking customers away from the fireworks.

There were thousands on the beach for fireworks so not surprising you had transport issues

Hardly a fair time to make comparisons, there was the annual Fireworks Event going on, many roads closed and public transport not on a normal footing. I bet traffic still moved better than in Bangkok though!

"bus from Ekkamai"

Timing is everything ... supply & demand vs options = premium pricing.

Considering they are working 'overtime' away from family, if having, or doing something they'd actually be enjoying, stop crying, pay, or get  a hotel till rates are more to your liking.

You have the freedom of choice, you just fail to exercise it.

ENJOY your holiday 😎

I'm sure I read the Ekamai bus station was moving/closing. Is that still happening?

Arriving in pattaya on friday night of one of the busiest weekends of the entire year with hundreds of thousands of people in town for the fireworks and OP has problems....imagine that.

Quite a few words to say 'everything seems to be normal'

Pomchop , you seem to "catasphrize" matters if I may use that word

The OP is posting on challenges he is finding and very interesting too.

As for "catasphrize" in your case it means behind your psyche that a person may mention something small to you and your psyche will tell you they are complaining.

There is a interesting thread on here about "thoughts" , please read it and all the best Pomchop in your psychology self help study

After having regailed us with your information on Pattaya bus station and Makro toilet.

Can't wait for more of your informative  blogs on Pattaya.

What is a "government bus"?

I think he means a bus operated by the state owned transportation company; you know, the ones with the silver and purple livery.

Using the term does rather help establish his credentials as an "old Pattaya hand", and therefore entitled to whinge.

I am surprised that word was not put out on the taxi communication network " All stations, there is a Farang whining down at the bus station..."

Thanks.  Does it leave from Ekkamai?  Most buses seems to be https://pattayabus.com/ (Roong Reuang).  Is this government bus cheaper?  Difficult to believe it could be!

No, just interested that there is a, presumably, cheaper alternative to the regular bus.  I suspect the OP is confused, as Bus 999 doesn't appear to operate an Ekkamai - Pattaya service.

Yes the OP is very informative

But ...don't take this the wrong way Jippy but really you should not be "relying" on others to give you information

I take it during your work life that you "relied" on others and if they didn't help you or do  you favours you got angry

Jippytum ,you need to rely on yourself

I hope that helps mate

You already provided the link, thanks, although it wasn't for the bus the OP used.

Are you posting of social media?

I can hardly wait for your videos.

I think the OP stumbled into here by mistake.

He thought he was posting onTrip Advisor or Booking.com

There was not much that was "normal" last weekend in Pattaya with the fire works...lots of busy weekends but last weekend was off the charts crowded....thank goodness it is not like that everyday.

Oh please !

Think of all the poor business owners who need the crowd

Only a few years ago these poor souls were lining up at food vans all volunteered by sympathetic farang ,oh it made my heart cry !!

Now we see these same Thai business owners reaping the rewards and fantastic

I hope it's like that EVERY weekend
