A mate (yes, really) ordered a colour laser printer, shipping from China, the price was about 50% of what the same units are from local sellers.

 

Today he got a delivery ...

 

 

And a free gift ...

 

 

Of course, the order is now "delivered" and the 7 days return timer has started.

 

He'll wait a couple of days "just in case", then trigger a dispute!

Yes, the scams keep coming, sadly. 

 

I always use my credit card for the more expensive purchases. 

 

A few times now I've been sent the wrong item etc., I pop into my kasikorn branch, the girl behind service desk helps me fill out the forms, I have a chat to kasikorn official over the phone and a few weeks later my card has been credited the full amount.

I received something similar from a local seller - sent me an empty envelope instead of a product. Contacted them and they explained that there was supposed to be a letter inside explaining situation, as product would be delivered a few days later, but someone forgot to put it in.

All that said, a couple of days later the ordered product arrived.

 

Strange arrangement, but worked in the end. So it might work for you as well.

I try to use only LAZ MALL vendors, and don't order anything overseas more than couple 100 baht, unless I know the vendor already.

I always buy COD on Lazada.  If the size/weight of the package is very different from what I have ordered, I refused to take delivery. This happened only once in my ten years of ordering from Lazada. But nowadays, scammers are everywhere.

I usually pay by CC when I order and I have no trouble with refunds.

Recently I ordered COD  - for some reason, order number 2 out of 3 had 'there was a problem with your credit card - please use an alternative method of payment'.

Ordered 10 items COD. I knew before opening it that it was wrong weight, wrong size - they only sent one item.

Still waiting for the refund after three weeks.

I never order from overseas and I will never use COD again. 100% failure rate.
