They "chose" not to prosecute before because you can't prosecute a sitting president.  First, you have to impeach him.  Which the Dems wouldn't vote for under any circumstances.

Not able to explain what? I remember when right wingers got all in a lather about Devon Archer's upcoming testimony to the House Committee. When asked what Hunter Biden was being paid for, Archer repeatedly explained that he scammed various wealthy and dubious characters into believing that he had pull with his father. 

These kind of claims are as foolish as those that claim Joe Biden's wealth is unexplained even though his income tax records are online and clearly show where his wealth came form.
