  • Mr Inbetween   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7472896/   One of the best series I have watched in quite some time, an easy 8/10 for me.

  • When you get very old you can re-watch stuff from a month ago and have no idea that you have seen it before.

  • Wednesday......... is back, if you (or your kids have any  interest )   4 episodes out now ---4 episodes out in September

Whitstable Pearl season 3.

Just watched season 1, does it get any better in season 2 and 3? A miserable black copper living in a town where there's a murder etc every week.

Donnie Brasco, Lady in the Van, Blood In, Blood Out, Red Dragon, Firefox, Unbreakable, Godfather 3, Sicario-Day of the Soldado.

As opposed to Midsomer where the aged white copper has solved a murder a week for the last 24 years that nobody could be left alive?

Whitstable- no obligation to watch recommendations.

Never watched Midsomer, thankfully

Started watching Bookish and liked it …. initially !

Mark Gatiss is great and there were times i was reminded of his Nighty Night character ( excellent comedy if you haven’t seen it ).

Each 2 episodes is a story and i loved the first one ( eps 1 & 2 ) but not so much the second story I didn’t find so interesting, by the third story I was bored and didn’t finish it .

Although I enjoyed the series, it does take diversity to almost parody level. Pearl has a mixed race son, the loved interest is black, most couples are mixed race or lesbian except for those that are evil and all single white men are losers or murderers.

I remember a scene where a female character sprays mace into a male character's face because he allegedly spread false rumours about her. The police just stood by and laughed. Mace is a class 3 firearm in the UK and using it can lead to a 10 year prison sentence; good role model for British women? 🤔

You got further than me---A very disappointing series.

Re-watched    "Once upon a time in Hollywood"  Tarantino best IMO

I missed a lot watching it the first time around

Finished watching The Pitt one of the better medical soaps I have seen for a while.

14 episodes detailing just one day in an ER.

I at first gave up watching in the beginning but it is one of the best movies in my opinion "Once upon a time in Hollywood"

Watched 28 years later and it was good enough.

Watched it the other day and found it slow and boring. It turned into 'The Last of Us' during the second half so a double blow for me. 😴

The whole zombie genre has just been done to death.🥱

Seem to be watching 10 minute movies at the moment. 10 minutes is about all I can watch and these are new movies.

Back to reruns of the golden oldies I guess.

Just found this and enjoyed it.

A Simple Plan ( 1998 )

Bill Paxton and Billy Bob Thornton star as a couple of brothers who hatch a simple plan when they come across something unexpected.

Doesn’t quite go as planned !!

Hmm........one of them was more simple than the plan!!

I watched A Simple Plan a while back and enjoyed it. Usually, any movie with BBT in the cast is worth a watch IMHO.

Gave it try last night, and forced my way through 30 mins, before giving up.  Oh well 🙄

OK Thanks for your opinion @KhunLA

I'm a fan of the Australian legal office comedy series Fisk.

I had watched the first two seasons and recently realized the third was already out, so happily binged on that.

A fourth season has not been announced as yet.

The finale of Season 3 could work either as a finale or an opener to a Season 4.
