Can I make a plea? This is a very useful thread, but all too often a poster will just say "liked it" or "lasted 10 minutes" but it's all too rare to see someone typing two or three sentences in an attempt to say why.   Maybe just mention the genre or theme.  Anything to make it easier to decide whether  something is worth downloading.

Would like to see some honest reviews:

I.e. ” i downloaded and started to watch the Thursday Murder Club but only lasted 10 minutes because it was about a bunch of geriatrics living in a care home who turn amateur sleuths to solve unsolved murders on a Thursday in a room usually reserved for doing jigsaws. If only I had done some due diligence i would have saved myself some time and effort “

I was expecting something that held my attention and that I found entertaining. This movie did neither.

     I liked it.  But, I also liked the book.   I knew going in roughly what to likely expect and the movie met those expectations.   I thought the cast was very good, and matched well the book's characters.  It was interesting to see Mirren and Brosnan switching gears a bit from their last outing, Mobland, which I also liked.

thanks and let me say also I choose to not provide exactly this. A simple warning to me is sufficiant. After all these folks do this for a living and one critique is not important.

Tried to watch the new Superman. A confused mess of (back) storytelling at the beginning then Lois Lane interviews Superman in their apartment and they have a domestic. So cringe I couldn't bear any more.

Try out the series, Pushers. Disabled coke dealers--awesome!

A bit strange this one but kept me hooked. 99% of it takes place in a car and over mobile phone. Still trying to work out the ending. 🤔

I find Rosie Jones a bit grating when she appears on panel shows but thought she, along with the rest of the cast, were outstanding in this. A few laugh out loud moments which I rarely do when I'm watching on my own (plus I'm generally a bit of a miserable git).

I didn't know they had a spin off show. I shall give it a try at some stage. Was sat next to Michael Weatherley who plays Tony Dinozzo on a Bangkok Airways flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok last year. Exchanged pleasantries about Chiang Mai but didn't really talk about his TV roles. He had the full escort service (no, not that kind!) and was whisked off on a buggy when we landed although he had to wait about with the rest of us for his luggage. 

I've just finished season 1 of  La Unidad (The Unit) and enjoyed it. It was recommended by @Will27. It's on 1337x.

20 mins into Ep1, and first scene after credits ... I didn't know all white women in UK are married to black gentlemen.  2 bad characters of course are white males, (married, cheating bisexual & child porn perv) and 2 power, intelligent characters are women.

 

I expect a handicap character before Ep1 is done.   I gets tiring watching the same script over & over.

I think you’re stretching a bit there as I watched the whole series & not once did the word “Woke” come to mind. 

I can’t give you a full reply to your points as that would spoil the plot for guys who might enjoy it, can only suggest you persevere with it as (IMHO) it is very good...: But as always to each his own…

I watched the first episode a few nights ago as I noticed it gets a 7/10 from IMDB.
But it was disappointing, poor casting, I would maybe give it a low 6/10.
Don't think I will continue with it.
