Yet more ugly spiteful action by trump world with plenty more coming to make "MAGA" meaningless.

Political observers from both sides of the aisle didn’t hold back unloading on President Donald Trump’s decision to revoke former Gen. Mark Milley’s government-funded security detail, which newly minted Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was poised to announce he is “immediately pulling,” according to media reports.

Maybe this from the link in the OP ...

"That list also includes former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his top aide, Brian Hook, as well as former National Security Adviser John Bolton – all of whom, like Milley, had been targeted by Iran for assassination."

Since when do you get current security briefings from US intelligence agencies?

Remember all the lefties wanting Trump's security detail pulled?

Pompeo, Hook and Bolton could emigrate to Israel they would look after them (or would they?) that part of the party never really got on with anyone!

EDITED: A badly researched comment by me being from the UK there, none have Jewish heritage so getting protection there might be difficult but some were heavily involved in Israeli/US foreign policy so they may well be welcome.  These were all turncoats on Trump so there can't really be any surprise that he did this.  I doubt anyone from Iran could get into the country and carry out an assassination any more than than the Russians could in the UK to try the same on defectors there, there has to be a reliance on local law enforcement at some point without having people with guns sitting outside your house, they also have the right to arm themselves.

The prime reason for security is because of the threat of kidnapping, not assassination. If he's kidnapped, US national security will be threatened because of all the top-secret sensitive data that can be extracted during advanced interrogation techniques.

You don't really think Felon-47 gives a damn if his opponents live or die.   And just as obviously, he doesn't care if the USA survives as a democratic republic.
When is he going to declare himself 'President for Life?" He's already trying to change the 22nd Amendment.

It is part of the job.  If he wants protection, he can pay for it himself.

If they're kidnapped under Trump, all the kidnappers will get is practice.

They tried to get Trump jailed and assassinated.

Turnaround sounds fair to me!

Good job Trump. Milley is probably wealthy enough to pay for his own security.

Yes indeed. It's not a good idea to be nasty to a man that was in the running to be POTUS. Especially when his opponent was a cackling imbecile, IMO.

Would the world be a better place without Bolton?  As I recall he's a warmonger.

Do you think Trump listens to, or retains any info, from any of his briefings, especially his security ones?

No, I don't remember that.

Who are "all the lefties"?

Yes, that's a reasonable proposition to make.

He would probably be more secure and safe from assassination attempts.

Be careful what you wish for. If Trump isn't taking his salary again, like he did the last time , he certainly would if he was having to pay his own security.

I wasn't referring to Trump. He doesn't require advanced interrogation methods to get him to tell all. Just tell him he's the Best!

Not so sure ex military officers are paid well enough for 24 security. However, trump is most definitely wealthy enough to pay for his and family security. Never did when family were on business trips during first Administration or in the US, nor will he do do this time around. Also trump begs MAGA world to pay for this legal costs - has trump ever dipped into his own funds for legal costs incurred due to his actions whilst President or ex President?
