Russia Rejects Trump's Temporary Ukraine Ceasefire Offer

Recommended Posts

I guess it's clear how much Putin fears the POTUS, which is not at all.

That should put to rest the silly notion that Putin never would have invaded if Biden had lost.

Putin sipoly invaded when he was ready and (erroneously) believed he could take Kiev in a few days.

We know it as fact.

Putin invaded Ukraine under Obama

Putin was too scared to invade under Trump 1.0

Putin invaded Ukraine under Biden

Any questions?

I think he is being obstreperous for the sake of it. I could be mistaken for thinking it is another posting alias for someone sitting out a temporary ban....probably not.

He's probably home alone..........😢

A ceasefire would basically freeze the front lines where they are.

Could be that Putin won't agree to a ceasefire  while Ukraine still holds Russian territory in the Kursk region.

Putin won't stop with Ukraine he's already said he want all of Europe if that ever happens USA would be next.

I'll bite.  Link a source citing Putin himself stating that "he wants all of Europe," otherwise your assertions are bravo-sierra. 🐂💩

But here's your problem: He's never said that nor has any member of his staff stated that Russia's ambitions are to invade and occupy Europe.
What he has stated is that he (Russia) does not want NATO and Europeans troops on Russia's borders. Why would he.  Would the US allow Russians and Chinese to move their militaries to the Southern border of the US.  We're you even around in 1962?  Do you have a clue that the US almost engaged in a nuclear war because Russia did exactly what the US did in Turkey?  And fast forward to the 21st century and we have what NATO is doing to Russia right now?
The EU uses that made up confabulation, says that invading Europe is Putin's desire, and then use THAT as an excuse to aggressively move NATO toward Russia, and in their words, "To Stop Russian AggressionTM" when it's NATO and the EU who are the overt aggressors.  So between 2014 and 2022 they arm Ukraine to the teeth, and move the AFU forces to Eastern Ukraine.
Russia invades to stop the AFU from murdering the Russian population in those oblasts and turning Ukraine into a NATO proxy and land bases for NATO.

 "Russian Aggression!!! GRRRRR!  Putin Wants To Invade Europe!!!"

🙄 Freaking get real.  In the meanwhile, find the quote where Putin states he plans to invade Europe and supply the source of the quote.  You can't find one, but I'll humor you. Or make one up.

Here is the fact.

Trump's actions weakened Ukraine, divided Nato and emboldened Putin to invade. Putin felt comfortable to launch the invasion after seeing the western allies destablished and weakened after Trump took Putin's side. Called him a genius and lead an anti-Ukraine smear campaign. He further weakened Ukraine by delaying arming Ukraine.

Can you handle the fact?

Destablished?  Nice one.

Trump reamed out NATO members about low national defence budgets at the NATO HQ about 6 or 7 years ago, during his first term. The contributions improved a bit but there was still significant apathy (but little money) from more than half of the NATO members until.... 2022..when Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine. Then, after that, in 2024, contributions from all NATO members had exceeded the long agreed 2% of GDP, for the first time.

The fact is that Trump was right. A shame that war had to break out before he was fully believed.

Trump raised doubts about Nato's mutual defense pack with his mafia style shakedown that caused a fracture in the alliance and created doubts whether US will fulfil the will for collective defense. That emboldened Putin's aggression. .

The organization was not "fractured". In fact it has become far better funded and stronger over the last 6 years.

If Putin was "emboldened", it was due to the disastrous US exit from Afghanistan.
