It's absolutely hit and miss, completely up to the mood of the immigration officer that is handling it that day.

  • And you will, of course, have encountered its British equivalent when renewing your passport recently!

New passport?

Clean TM.30?

Traveled out of Thailand and returned?

Reporting office?

I gave up trying.  When the time comes, I just drop my passport off at my agent and pick it up a day later.  100 baht.

A shame that it no longer works as it was a good idea.

What doesn't work any more? I did my last online report on March 14.

Had one rejection ( no reason given ) since Jan 2022, last done 10 days ago.

Picked up my new passport Thurs so expect some disruption after changing stamps but after doing an in person no reason why it shouldn’t be back to normal service.

Same here. The old system never worked for me, but the new system has worked since the day it came online.

I had one rejection, which was the first report after getting a new passport.

Don't always get the warning email but it's always worked, last time 10 hours from reporting to accepted, TM30 online is another matter, never been able to get that to work

Just a suggestion.

When I renewed pp (2024) ...I waited till my 90 day report window opened and did the "stamp transfer" then went to 90 report desk.

The subsequent next report I did online with no issue.

That’s 65 days away, rather get it done and dusted, my IO is only 10 minutes away and 90 days in person is a 5 minute process.

Wait a minute !! Thought you couldn’t get online to work ??

” Welcome to the club.“

Prachin buri province ; it worked for me at the beginning, two years ago , during one year ; suddenly, in march last year, always " rejected " and I did everything correct ; the I.O told me " It 's Bangkok " , as if the decision came from somewhere in BKK ; and suddenly, last month, it worked ! " accepted "

I think there was a bug somewhere and they have correct it

my opinion ; try, again and again, maybe one day it will be Ok

I think some IO’s work on the premise that if online reporting isn’t working then more people will visit the IO.

We used to call that “ job security “.

When I finally got the online report to work (after doing one in person...)

I posted about the experience and the fact I was in complete shock with online approval.

Online reporting for me at CW has rarely been successful.

Also previously they took up to couple of weeks or more.

Online initially wouldn’t work for me at Ayutthaya IO, when I enquired they simply said “ no have “.

Then it came online but very sketchy service, since the latest updated version ( some years ago now ) it has worked great.

I guess it is something that we have to accept as the Thai inconsistency standard.

Last time , mine was rejected because I'd spent one night in a hotel in Ayutthaya and didn't change my TM30 when I returned, which I've been informed many times is unnecessary. I had to cancel and resubmit my online application at least half a dozen times before I was given the reason for rejection.

Online CW working for me for many years. Got approved inside 24hrs this week. I guess it depends where you live.

When the new system started, I tried and was surprised at how well it worked. After some successful reports it just kept rejecting my applications without giving any reason. I had not left the country or changed my address at all.

I did make online 90 days report a lot of times.

Was rejected, only when I returned Thailand, and first time they requested personal meeting ín the immigration office.

After the online process worked well.

Of course, if the address are changed for the reason of a hotel stay, necessary to make a new TM30

I have had success when submitting early in the reporting interval.

If I wait for the email notice I get rejected.

Don't know if that is cause and effect or just coincidence.

Same thing happened to me.  I got rejected for my first try after re-entering Thailand.  Had to go in person.

Odd thing is that it used to work no problem for first time back in.  Are they tightening up?

It seems that some genius came up with idea to sync TM30 with TM47 after trip abroad.

Subsequently required 90 day report in person and new TM30.

Some offices made the TM30 optional. As they do.

I had the same problem last week, my 90-days report was rejected.
However, their explanation was incorrect, it was not my first time request.

"Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.

For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required."

Their digital failure.

Similar expected in case of their Newly Introduced Online(paperless) Arrival Card, they say they will start to use in this May.

Thai bureaucrats is often incapable of maintaining their online service.

Online 90-day report.

It never worked with me either, for the unknown reasons.

Thailand's Digital Farce; lacking versatility(no constant same results whoever used it).

RE: I think there was a bug somewhere, and they have correct it......

You hit the bullseye

The whole system is second rate and poorly designed ..........no commercial business would ever suffice relying on such an inferior solution like this ........

Even though over the years they have endeavored to upgrade it and tried their best, it requires redesigning from the ground up....

It lacks, basic form design best practices, of field validation and error messages and error codes generation, poor or no real-time integration with associated IMM databases holding clients details, effective FAQ's and form recovery support actions, no user feedback of input suggestion options, (other than a couple of smiley faces) and finally in effective online and offline support staff to deal with problem resolution.........
