A tuk-tuk driver has taken to social media to express frustration and disbelief after a pair of Russian tourists allegedly engaged in an explicit sexual act during a journey from Patong to Surin Beach, despite repeated pleas for them to stop.

The incident came to light after the driver, identified on Facebook as Somnuck Chanagune, posted a 57-second video clip along with a caption describing the ordeal. According to his account, the male and female passengers performed oral sex in the back of his tuk-tuk while he was driving. He claimed to have stopped the vehicle multiple times in an attempt to intervene, but said his requests were ignored.

“I tried to stop them four times,” Mr. Somnuck wrote. “I even got out of the vehicle three times to tell them to stop. They paused briefly, then continued. In the end, I gave up and let them do whatever they wanted, just asked them not to be too obvious about it.”

In his post, he added that the male tourist appeared embarrassed, while the female was unfazed and continued the act openly. The driver remarked that such behaviour is unfortunately something taxi drivers must sometimes endure, noting the difficulty in handling foreign visitors who show no regard for public decency.

The video post quickly attracted attention and sparked debate on social media, with many commenters sympathising with the driver. Some joked that installing rear-facing cameras might be a worthwhile precaution in the future.

While no police action has been reported at this time, the incident has raised concerns over public conduct by tourists in popular resort areas like Phuket. It also underscores the challenges faced by transport workers who are often left to deal with inappropriate or unlawful behaviour without immediate recourse.

Not that long an ordeal then.

They found a driver that spoke and understood Russian? Quite a coincidence, and taking the time to video the act for a minute, like so many do here. Strange behavior by both parties.

Disgusting behavior of tourists again. Russians, as more often than other nationalities right now. Seems like they have a few screws more lose than the rest.

? Where do you get that from.

Stopping and shouting should be enough.

Some gesture, fingers on the lips..

I tried to stop them four times,” Mr. Somnuck wrote. “I even got out of the vehicle three times to tell them to stop. They paused briefly, then continued. There must be a reason why there are signs in taxis with some very obvious content.

You have a lot of phantasy.

An angry Thai is understood without language barrier

He said he asked them, which means talking. Got out of his vehicle to tell them to stop.  He didn't say he shouted in Thai, hoping his anger would stop the behavior. I live in reality, not fantasy.

A Thai lady once forced herself onto me... I gave her 10-minutes to stop before I'd call for help.

How am I suppose to comment without seeing the video of the alledged act ? Is this performance art? I need to know before making an educated, informative and objective opinion.

I never understand, why these Tuk-Tuk drivers just keep on driving, instead of leading them to the next police station, police box or police officer.

This clowns facebook page is full of takin the pi$$ outta foreigners, all nationalities, he goes out of his way to "create" content to ONLY focus on the drunks behaving badly.

Gotta love the picture of an empty tuk tuk. Are we supposed to look for stains on the seats?

That's a Tuk Tuk  not a $uk $uk or a £uk £uk , do you understand Mr and Mrs ? .......... you are not in Russia now.

Blood Russians again when is the Thai government going to realise Russians are pure scum and should be banned from stepping foot in Thailand, all they do is cause trouble wherever they go

Just go over a pothole at speed, that should precipitate a howl of pain, and then you can drop them at a hospital.

One would hope that the Tuk Tuk driver did a good job hosing out their "Spurry" from the back of his tuk tuk. Maybe rename it the "Fu#k Fu%k" or the "Suck Suck"

Too funny. I'm sure it's not the first time someone got head on a tuk tuk and it certainly won't be the last.
