It seems that high performance concrete developed in Iran may have protected nuclear sites

In a First, America Dropped 30,000-Pound Bunker-Busters—But Iran’s Concrete May Be Unbreakable, Scientists Say

https://www.yahoo.com/news/first-america-dropped-30-000-205300766.html

This news made me curious, and I found this article, from 2012.

"Civil engineers in Iran have two major problems that their building materials need to be able to deal with. The first is earthquakes. The other is bombs.

As a result, the country has developed a particular expertise in making some of the toughest concrete in the world. The pinnacle of its development is known as Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC), which contains powdered quartz, but the country's researchers are also working on integrating other types of fibres and nanoparticles to toughen the substance yet further."

There was also an article from the economist but it's under PW

Oh wait, I thought Trump was Netanyahu's puppet...

For years Netanyahu had been urging Trump to bomb Iran and has now done so after Israel softened up the air defences, I suppose many will say Trump, or at least US Administrations are Israel's puppet / proxy.

 Iranian officials downplayed the attacks

Yes they would.

Its quite possible that the US in its development of the bombs were aware of this no? After all they had these plans in place for years, it was not done on the back of a fag packet last week without knowing of Irans concrete.........

UHPC and also the diamond shape of the design that can divert the missile entry trajectory away from the nuclear sites.

There's no established evidence or known military strategy suggesting Iran utilizes a diamond-shaped design for its nuclear facilities to divert missile trajectories. That's the first thing IAEA would have picked up in its reports

As the article concludes:

"The U.S. Air Force will understandably not discuss its current bunker-busting capabilities or how they stack up against potential targets in Iran, China, or elsewhere. And most of the military work on high-strength concrete is similarly classified. But the severity of damage inflicted on Iran’s nuclear program will probably give us some clues."

Yes and that assessment currently is:

“Given the explosive payload utilized and the extreme vibration-sensitive nature of centrifuges, very significant damage is expected to have occurred,” Grossi added referring to the US bombing.

They may developed the bomb to be effective in different condition but not tested. They will have to wait for the intel damage assessment and improve on the bombs.

This design was make known to them by the Chinese. Whether they use this design, I admit I don't know until we get intel details.

I think the US will test it beforehand after spending around half a billion developing them, your just clutching at straws now.

So you admit unsubstantiated claims and now make additional claims it was also made known to them by the Chinese.

Meanwhile the IAEA who has inspected the sites for years have not identified it

I couldn't care less about Trumps claim on obliteration, not quoted his claims once about the damage, you can stand down with the personal off topic slurs now. Fail and just proves that Trump hate is more important than finding the most accurate estimates  possible.

Conflicting reports including one from inside the White House......and Trump cursing Israel and Iran. LOL

A classified preliminary US intelligence report has concluded that American strikes on Iran set back Tehran’s nuclear programme by just a few months - rather than destroying it as claimed by Trump.

US media cited people familiar with the Defence Intelligence Agency findings as saying the weekend strikes did not fully eliminate Iran’s centrifuges or stockpile of enriched uranium.

The strikes sealed off entrances to some facilities without destroying underground buildings, according to the report.

As he was leaving the White House, he berated Israel and Iran, saying they “don’t know what the f*** they’re doing” as the two sides launched missiles as the truce was set to begin.

From the artical:

Democratic Rep. Pat Ryan of New York said on X on Tuesday that “Trump just cancelled a classified House briefing on the Iran strikes with zero explanation. The real reason? He claims he destroyed ‘all nuclear facilities and capability;’ his team knows they can’t back up his bluster and BS.”

did she said it yes or no

I don't know. The hearing was over two hours and I wasn't prepared to hear it all.

However, if you can show us that she said it as the sitting DNI then go for it.

How gleeful the left seems to be that Iran's nuclear arms program may not have been obliterated.

No, gleeful that trump announced obliteration without proper intel.

Could be true, could be a smart move to mislead.
