A 24-year-old Indian tourist, identified as Mr. RA, lost a gold necklace valued over 100,000 baht in a theft incident on Pattaya Beach in Chonburi province in the early hours of 20 September 2025. The loss occurred after a group of ladyboys approached him and his friend, offering sexual services, which he declined. The suspects reportedly separated from the scene before the victim realised his necklace had been taken.

The incident was reported at 02:35 to Pol Lt. Col. Manasak Pholyiam, deputy investigation officer at Pattaya City Police Station. Upon receiving the report, officers under the command of Pol. Col. Anek Sathongyu, chief of Pattaya City Police, quickly deployed an investigative team to the beach.

Mr. RA told police that while walking along the beach with a friend, a group of ladyboys approached him, attempting to embrace and touch him in order to solicit sexual services. He resisted and managed to break free, but after the group dispersed, he discovered that his gold necklace, weighing approximately 30 grams, had been removed without his knowledge. The suspects had fled the scene before he could identify them.

Police have begun a detailed investigation, taking statements from the victim and coordinating with the Pattaya City Police’s detective unit to review CCTV footage from the area. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators to bring them to justice.

Looking ahead, investigators plan to intensify patrols and surveillance along the beach area while examining further security footage, aiming to prevent similar incidents and recover the stolen property.

A template could be used for such reports.

Just fill in date/time, names and value....

These Indians must be so popular with the beach kathoeys.

Hard to find such naive visitors.

If a gold necklace was your idea of a source of pleasure, perhaps this is an opportunity to look for pleasure somewhere else.

Look at the beauty of clouds as a start.

Then just take steps on walking street in the search for Siddharta... If not found in India, perhaps a bit more walking in this Buddhist country will do it....

Good luck...

gobble? i thought it was gaggle.

Personally, I would never allow a ladyboy to get close enough to put his hands on me. As soon they begin to approach me, I quickly skirt them and am telling them to go away. To allow them within touching distance is an invitation to get robbed.

Should have taken a leak in the ocean. Plod would have been there in a flash with arms outstretched, palms facing up.🙃🙃

Translation - The ladyboys did a runner. :coffee1:

There's a dedicated room in Pattaya Police Station for this offence; the queue of victims stretches way down the corridor.

Yeah, right! Tell the insurance company in Mumbai: "I went to Thailand, and had the clouds above my head stolen. How much? I guess, 'priceless'" 😆

Nuh, not a gobble, nor a gaggle.  Akin to Hyenas, it's more correct to call them a cackle of Ladyboys. :coffee1:

Stood in the middle of the road gazing up at the sky, puts you in as vulnerable a position as putting your head in the sand on the beach!

hmmm… maybe wearing expensive gold necklaces  around early morning in Pattaya isnt a bright idea. Who are they trying to impress at 0235?

Either they didn't get the memo about leaving the bling in the hotel safe or this is another insurance scam

Neither of the 2 in the photo appear to be 24.

I never realized living in India was so harsh on one's body :shock1:

I reckon I've read the headline - "LADYBOY ROBS INDIAN TOURIST OF GOLD" about 50 times in the last 10 years.

Seems those India boys have a real "thing" for the ladyboys.

That pic is getting a bit old!

Seems the POMS like a bit of Ladyboy action too. Poor old bugger (sic) got more than he bargained for here.

I wonder why men have to wear necklaces anyway.

Is it meant as compensation for something?

wearing gold is not the problem, its the ladyboys who are the problem plus the inactivity of the top policemen

Look at me! Look at me! Oh, crapt! Be careful for what you wish in life, it might just come true
