Two foreign teenagers have sparked outrage among netizens after being filmed spray-painting the wall of a roadside accommodation in Phuket. The incident, which occurred at the busy Rong Faifa Intersection, was captured on video and widely shared online, prompting condemnation and calls for police action.

The Phuket Times Facebook page posted images and video footage of the teenagers on October 15, showing one standing on a roof while spray-painting a wall and another recording from a roadside guardrail. A motorcycle parked nearby was believed to belong to the pair. The post, captioned “Foreign teenagers climbed onto the roof to spray-paint the wall for video content. This happened last night at Rong Faifa Intersection,” quickly went viral and drew thousands of reactions.

According to reports, the act took place during the evening while traffic was still heavy. A passing motorist filmed the teenagers and sent the video to the Phuket Times, helping to identify the location. Despite the online uproar, police have yet to identify or locate the suspects, whose nationalities remain unknown.

Under Section 358 of Thailand’s Criminal Law, those found guilty of damaging or destroying another person’s property can face imprisonment of up to three years, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both. The footage has reignited discussion about the behaviour of foreign visitors and the need for stronger enforcement against vandalism in tourist areas.

Police in Phuket have not yet issued a formal statement or confirmed whether an investigation is underway. Officers are expected to review CCTV footage from the area to trace the pair and determine the extent of the property damage. Local residents have urged authorities to take swift action.

If charged, the two foreigners could face legal proceedings and deportation following any penalties imposed under the law. Authorities are also expected to work with immigration officials to verify whether the teenagers face further actions.

Key Takeaways

• Two foreign teenagers were filmed spray-painting a building at Phuket’s Rong Faifa Intersection.

• Police have yet to identify the suspects, who could face up to three years in prison or a 60,000-baht fine.

• The incident has prompted widespread criticism and renewed calls for stricter enforcement against vandalism.

Because they are the culprits, you will rarely see Thai graffiti.

You should have that number in your phone, I don't.

".... whose nationalities remain unknown."

So these could also have been Thais. I don't understand why people think that these can only be foreigners.

My local rural park, the bark of the trees is covered in graffiti, all in Thai.

Yet to be identified. Foriegn. Look same as 100000 other Asian teens.

Hmm

Never understand most graffiti.  It is poor quality, and wouldn't pass for kindergarten art.

Been to many beautiful places and these idiots ruin it for some stupid reason.  Milan leaving from Duomo and down the road at street level was graffiti on older looking buildings.

Think the need to do what Pattaya did a couple months ago.  We catch you and you clean it off.

When you pull into the Chiang Mai rail station, the building on the left use to be covered with Thai graffiti.

Sign of the times. We're going to get all the maladies of the West in Thailand, graffiti, Israeli drug imports, murders, even feminism is on the rise.

They opened the door, and let everybody in.

You think they'd have woken up for this?

Outrage?

Because foreigners are clearly doing work that should be reserved for Thai people?

Maybe chop off a hand of the perp.  Show it on national TV.  Send a message.

By the time "plod" got there, the culprits would be long gone and they'd have no evidence even if they did figure out who did it.

I would have taken a photo of the bikes license plate, let the air out of the tires and then called the police.  0
