In Pattaya, a car driver allegedly rammed a scooter carrying his girlfriend and two others following a heated row, as captured in a shocking video. The incident occurred on Soi Buakhao, drawing widespread online outrage and highlighting concerns about increasing road aggression in Thailand. Despite the severity of the crash, none of the ladyboys involved suffered serious injuries.

The altercation reportedly began with a dispute between the car driver and his girlfriend. After hitting the scooter, the driver continued to argue with the victims instead of offering help. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver emerged from his vehicle shouting at the women, while ignoring bystanders pleading for him to assist them.

Social media users reacted strongly, labeling the driver's actions as more than just road rage. One comment likened the incident to attempted murder, reflecting the intensity of public sentiment. The driver appeared in the video admitting his role and stating he would wait for authorities, despite showing anger towards the scooter riders.

Additionally, the video footage captured the driver apologizing to a nearby vendor, possibly to calm tensions. Nevertheless, the apparently intentional crash has led to widespread calls for strict legal measures. Road users in Pattaya, both local and international, frequently witness traffic conflicts, but this event has particularly resonated due to its deliberate nature.

Police continue to investigate, with public opinion urging quick legal action against the yet-unidentified driver. While the reason for the initial dispute remains unclear, the rapid escalation captured on video underscores the severity of the attack, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • A Pattaya driver allegedly hit a scooter following a dispute.
  • The crash, recorded on video, left the victims uninjured but outraged the community.
  • Authorities are investigating amidst calls for severe legal consequences.

Crossing a double yellow line. Tut, tut

Hope this car driver offered a "Na Khap", and a  "Wai", after, as it is customary, politeness oblige...

Put his car through the crusher, no room for <deleted> like this on the roads!

wow, completely unhinged, this madman should be charged  and have his driving licence revoked, this could have been a lot worse than it was.

The P.O.S.

Should be charged with attempted murder.

So this attempted murder did not involve any falangs. ?

Is that right ?

Thank God for that. :cheesy:

Hey maybe he is a cousin of Red Bull...if so...nothing to see here.

Well perhaps he wasn't a doctor?

No wonder all those foreigners drink in the bars there. Reality TV in real time.

does it say anywhere if it was a farang driving the car?

No doubt it would if it could.

Yep, no need for soccer on the TV with real life going on. Soi 6, as viewed from the Queen Vic, can also be good entertainment but not  the same traffic content.

Yes, but if they where using high heels, they might hit you in the head wiith them, if they got really angry. Take care for those misfits.

At the :46 mark in the video you can clearly see the district and license plate number.  Hopefully they locate the driver soon.  Could've taken out the food vendor people also with his reckless actions

Wishing the scooter riders a quick recovery.

The man was in dispute with his boyfriend not his girlfriend.

The potential harm to pedestrians and oncoming vehicles was extreme, considering his speed on Soi Buakhao.  All things considered, this was a good outcome.

Imagine the beating he would have received if he were a Farang driver.

The constant reference to online entities in these reports is tiresome. This is not a general concern about law enforcement. It's just one idiot doing stupid things. It happens everywhere, all across the globe, no matter how strictly laws are enforced. In short, it's a case of "sh*t happens".

Laws are not enforced in Pattaya; that would entail police work before an incident.

Really? I've only been here for 20 years, so I didn't know LOL

My point, which you missed, is that these types of road rage incidents have nothing to do with enforcement. Law enforcement doesn't stop idiots.

True.  'Law enforcement doesn't stop idiots.'  Direct policing on the roads would deter various offences which incites road rage.  Have you ever grumbled (mildly) at the number of red-light changes it takes before you get past due to red light runners?  Have you ever witnessed the log-jam effect where motorists intrude into yellow shaded boxes stopping traffic in all directions and thought 'oh dear'.

Looked more like a Pit manoeuvre, car was on a mission.
