Take them out yourself. Tweezers and a razorblade will do the trick.

  • Or tweezers and nail clippers. Nothing to it.

Any reasonably competent nurse or doctor could do it quickly, easily and painlessly.

I am surprised they still use stitches as opposed to staples.

Why not the place that put them in.

There are 2 little clinics on soi Buakhao...one opposite LK Metro, I think the other is towards Klang from there, other side.

I would try the clinic on Nern Pub won, on the right coming from Sukhumvit, or if central, Clinic on Pattaya thai before 3rd road

I have used the one just before that (from memory about 50 meters away) as has my partner who is very 'fussy' about medical stuff.

the one just up the road seems to charge farang price certainly more expensive and was berating an elderly farang in there a few weeks ago, unnecessary

I've had hundreds of them and never paid someone to remove them.

If there in accessible place do it yourself if not ask a friend .Wash your hands.Clean first with antiseptic, cut as close to skin as possible on one side, pull out from other side.Clean again thoroughly.

Depending where the stitches are otherwise you can easily remove them yourself.

I have done that a few times instead of traveling 50 K round trip for just that.

I went this morning and was told to come back Monday as there is still some swelling in my arm.....stitches fine dry and no weeping....was quoted 300 baht in total as compared to 100 baht/stitch (18 in total) from the Clinic a few yards further up by the traffic lights at the 3rd road Pattaya Tai junction....same price also quoted at Bukhaow Clinic opposite LK Metro.

Will confirm price when they have actually been removed....the 300 baht price was confirmed to my TGF on both occasions so any substantial increase will be disputed very vigorously by her LOL.

How long have you been in Thailand? Anymore than a month or two I'm surprised you actually need to ask this question. Any clinic anywhere will probably cost Bt200-300. Go to a private hospital and pay a bit more.

If one walks past the couple of clinics on Buakhao heading towards Tai, the Pattaya City Hospital there will likely take care of things.

No....I,m a Brit who took a tumble from a ladder while painting our house down in Trang a couple of weeks back.....and before any smart so and so,s makes the comment about getting a local to do it.....I have enjoyed DIY for all my life and will continue to do so....s**t happens sometimes and it was my first Hospital visit since I had my tonsils out at 11 years of age.

What amazes me on this forum is the difficulty some folk have about understanding and replying to a simple request....I asked about a Pattaya clinic to have stitches removed simple and straightforward....thanks to a couple of members for their valuable input 🖕

jacko45k...called in as it,s 2 minutes away from my apartment asked about this simple procedure...first words were you need to register first and make appointment to see Doctor.....goodness gracious what a performance for a simple 15/20 minutes procedure....Buakaow clinic wanted 100 baht/stitch LOL.....now sorted with the Clinic on Pattaya Tai.
