I'm sure in your own mind you believe the crap you post but nobody else does. Lots of farangs go crazy in Isaan. They don't know it. Bad drivers don't know they drive bad.

Harris, stop answering for anyone else. YOU either don't believe me because I never lie and you're possibly jealous that I take care of my own and you don't have your own, or that you're just the troll that is only here to argue, and not constructively.

Outrageous. You grab a four seat table at nine in the morning, sit there alone with a coffee, and that is basically your property now for as long as you want it. No one else allowed within two meters

I doubt you've been anywhere near the places you say you have. I and others here actually live here. We aren't drifters or backpackers. We interact with locals daily, for years. You're always asking for proof but you have none that you live here. I can say I'm living here while sitting at my PC in Nome Alaska, and google places trying to brag. Actual life experience counts quite a bit more.

Life experience is great. You don't seem to have much at all. Sisaket is a backwater town. Most Thais don't want to visit.

Post proof of this claim.

Which claim would that be, I live rural, or how far things were away from me, or how many others live the same lifestyle.

You do know it's an anonymous forum. I can assure you, 1000's live in Udon Thani province, and they all didn't live in the immediate downtown city. Takes about 5 mins off the ring road to live a rural lifestyle. Here's a small tidbit for you ....

Absolutely, same boring insults, better if posters just ignore him and don't reply to his comments, Fred should be doing that.

You're right, I do waste too much time with these miscreants. Thank you.

Although I could be accused of being 'triggered' by this thread, I'm only going to make 1 comment:

Look how a simple 'slop' post has triggered so many forum members that the thread has reached 6 pages already.....

Yes 10,000 for Udon sounds realistic. It is one of the most popular spots. Sisaket would not make the top 5. Likely has no more than a 1,000.

You have no life. You listed Wat Phu Tok as an attraction. It is 6.5 hours drive away.

He's pretty big numbers, and there's only a couple large metros there, and us poor expats can't afford to live downtown, so yea, we live rural, where land & house are less expensive. So 1000+ wouldn't be a stretch at all, for any Isan province. 5 mins out of downtown, and it's rural. Few expats I know or met, live 'in town', as it's just too expensive. Unless single, living out of a box hotel/apartment. Most I know, have families, houses & gardens, out of town.

These estimates are probably real marriage & retirement visa holders, so not everyone that lives there ...

Precise official figures for the exact number of expats in Si Saket province are not publicly available, but it is considered a quiet, rural, and less-visited province, making it a home to a smaller, tight-knit expat community compared to tourist hotspots. Most foreign residents there are long-term retirees or married to Thai locals.

  • Regional Context: Estimates suggest around 40,000 to 50,000+ total foreigners live across the entire Isaan region (20 provinces).

I think it was quite entertaining, until it became the Harrisfan/Fredwiggy show.

50,000/20 = 2,500 but the top 5 would be 5,000+. The other ones 100 to 1000.

I will meet you in the toilets at 9am ,cubicle 2 darl ...and start without me if I'm late

What are you assuming someone would do in a public toilet if you would be late? Also, why do you wish to meet people in the toilet? Are you eating your breakfast there?

an empty table would be my first choice, and i think that goes for >90% of all white males north of the equator

odds 9:1

Having observed that most of my customers are single guys who do not wish to share a table (understandably - who knows what sort of nutter one could be sat next to) I would furnish my establishment with smaller (2-seater) tables which could easily be pushed together for larger parties.

That sounds eerily like something Harrisfan would say. Haven't seen him on the forum recently. Another incarnation perhaps? Certainly argumentative enough.

Now I'm in Pattaya ,I thought I would go for breakfast.

I packed my large diary ( which I write in a few times a day all my activities)

I packed my notebooks for my statistical research and analysis

And I off I went , walking through the Soi Bukhao area of Pattaya

I soon found out this " dangerous pedestrian hellhole " required situational awareness from the traffic so I quickly crossed the road to face the incoming traffic which has absolutely nothing to do with my post so please let's get back to it !!!

I see a restaurant called Cheap Charlies so I wander over there ,the time now 9am

,using my situational awareness I notice all tables full with ONE old farangs sitting at every FOUR seat table by themselves!

The waitress sees me and says come in, she guides me to a table and without asking the old guy sitting at one of the FOUR seat tables by HIMSELF , tells me to sit at his table

I look at him , he is unshaven , unkempt and coughing , he looks at me , I said NO to her , I'm not sitting with anyone , she didn't even ASK him , she just pulled the chair says sit here at SAME table

She looks around there are NO tables free with only ONE farang at each four seat table , all by themselves HOGGING each four seat table

I don't LIKE people so I will not go over to a table and ask "oh honey is it ok for me to sit here ??.

Then ..maybe whilst in eating they will talk to me !!..

My question to you is , is this acceptable for you if sit someone sat at your table !

What if it's the other way around and YOU are sitting by yourself at a FOUR seat table and Old stinky Jack cones along and picks your table to sit in the chair opposite would you say F off Jack it's my table !!

My question to you is simple.

If you are looking for a table by yourself then why did youeven go into the restaurant. You can tell from the door and simply turn around and go to a different restaurant.

And yet you want to do the same...

Spouse and I have encountered this a few times. The last time, the restaurant was full but there was a table for 6 that had 2 people sitting at one end of it. The wait staff asked us, and the people at the table, if we would be ok sitting at the other end of the table. Both parties agreed and that was that. There was enough separation that it didn't feel like we were intruding.

I would not agree to sit at a table for 4 that already had 1 or 2 people sitting at it. I would not be comfortable and I suspect they would not, either--I'd just go somewhere else to eat.
