I have a true sim card, but I cannot call UK numbers starting with 0345 from Thailand.

I either dial 00 44 or 00944 (cheaper rate) and then drop the first 0, so 345 etc.

Call just diverts to, im guessing a true recorded message in thai, then disconnects.

Calling mobiles or landlines with the above UK dialing codes work fine.

Any ideas why I cannot dial 0345 numbers, or a possible alternative?

Ps I have tried not dropping the first 0 of the 0345, but it doesn't work either.

I believe some 0345 numbers are charged at premium rates

others are free, so True are not allowing any.......

Try dialing 00644 then the number. True's international calling prefix is 006.

Must be a True thing, can call UK 0345's with AIS, e.g. +44345xxxxxxx.

Thailand's standard no-frills (works nearly all the time) international prefix is 001 or + on your mobile.

Dialling 00644 then 345 xxx worked, but no other prefixes did.

I just dialled it and it worked. You owe me one baht ???? Tesco Mobile and 

Try 00944 345 940 0000

 

Do you have a prepaid mobile phone service?

Just use Skype out. Can call all numbers and 0800 numbers are free too.
