Violence between two gangs of youths in Chiang Mai started at a pub last night and continued early this morning at a hospital where a victim was recovering in ER.

Trouble started outside a pub in the Nimmanhaemin area of the northern Thai city. A 21 year old was taken to Chiang Mai Medical Center Hospital for head and face wounds requiring 11 stitches.

But trouble continued through the night with up to ten potential assailants trying to get into the hospital to cause more trouble. There were several melees.

Sanook said patients, doctors and nurses all witnessed the trouble.

Police managed to disperse the gangs who disappeared into the night.

This morning a continued police presence was at the hospital amid fears that trouble would flare again.

No arrests were reported in the incidents monitored by Muang Chiang Mai police.

Why do the Police not arrest these gangs and get them off the streets , the Thai way of dealing with these people contributes to the problem in that they then believe they can do what ever they want and not suffer any consequences .

arrest them and send them to america to blend in with ms13

I said this in another recent post on the RTP.

You just can't make this shIt up! It's hilarious.

If it wasn't so pathetically sad...

Any difference with migrant rape and riots like in France and Sweden?

What is the police doing there?

What police do and don't comes from their 'superiors' and above.

The CM Police tend to not get involved with drunken rowdy people at the time , they wait a few days for the alcohol to wear off and then go and arrest them at their home a few days later

It's the old Ruen Phaed (sp?) government Hospital, they have since changed the name. The worst hospital in C.M. - or it was 9 years ago at least.

The police here don’t deserve to be called police.  Time for a new name for a do nothing organization

Hmm , food for thought.  One day there will be a street riot and 350 ex cops will be sent from their inactive posts . But the more I read here on tv the more cops it seems are inactive even if they are waiting for their inactive posts where they do less than the active ones. Sorry I might of got lost somewhere.
