When you have a military regime trying to be politicians expect a bumpy ride... the chance to make a difference at the polls was wasted!

Not wasted. Stolen.

Ok I'll give you the election result was stolen...

however the recent opportunity in Nakhon Pathom was wasted... a golden opportunity to send a message back to BKK, however either through lack of interest, sheer laziness or people are actually happy with the regime in power did not vote for the FFP to get an MP in place.

With a strong baht, imports should be cheaper; they never are.  Pure profiteering.

The price of fuel should be 25%/27% cheaper as that is how much the currency has appreciated.

Some have made big time over the currency.

But with exports being that much dearer many factories are closing and moving to Cambodia and Vietnam.

The National airline the Flagship of LOS is in big trouble - dont worry sell it to China.

But don't fret when the bullet trains are flying, Chinese tourists will poor in. Using chinese owned venues, chinese owned hotels and the rich will get richer, meantime all the expats will have slowly left, european tourists will not go to LOS as they will get mowed down in the streets everytime a chinese tour go by.

It's happening now in Chiang Mai , go to the sunday market at Tapai Gate and get mowed down.

TIT.

Something may have to give????

government, government .... the best thing any government can do is to leave people alone with their help, I think Thai people are smart enough to not fall for communism propaganda.

Nonsense.

The local markets are far better value than supermarkets and shops that have their prices marked.

And you even get 50 times the level of insecticides from both venues for free.

A lot of these sycophantic polls have the scent of a type of communism. The government seen as a type of saviour in rescuing the people from the ills of the world. History teaches us that after a number of years (unfortunately sometimes many many years) the populace often hears a penny drop. Which is that the government is both the cause and the deceptive arbitrator of their problems. Politics in action, no need to read the textbooks!

If you had not noticed the country is socialist in nature, top down they want someone else to take care of them

The template is really happening over the border in Cambodia, but you are wrong about companies moving to Cambo as it simply does not have the infrastructure yet.

Land prices have gone up 1000% in areas in or near Sihanoukville and Kampot and are rising fast though.

From Apocalypse Now to paradise lost.

"They suggested price control, lower fuel prices and serious action against capitalists taking advantage of people."

So basically they want a socialist government. Be careful what you wish for.

Funny that, Australia has some great weather and stores, like Woolworths and Coles, but I guess you wouldn't know that.

They suggested that the government take action to increase salaries and labour wages, lower taxes and interest rates, extend loan repayment periods and issue remedial measures for the poor.

There is an economy killer right there. How ignorant.

A survey of 1207 people. Wow, better take that seriously then.  Probably absolutely correct, but let's make the next survey a minimum of 12070 people, then we might be able to do so.

Not just Lidl., but also Tesco, Asda and so on..  (A simple look on tesco uk online store will prove that)  The only things that seems to be cheaper here is meat, & some vegetables. Just goes to show the prices are well an truly over inflated here in Thailand

The Leaders of this country is run by the Militaries, what else to expect, their training is to give orders

not to run the country. Every countries world wide run by the Militaries are riddled with corruption,

live in poverty, fear and money is going to the "wrong places". As for the 'bullet" train, they are putting

the cart before the horse. There are more important things to do before wanting a fast train, like

drinking water from taps, increase pensions, fix pollution, etc...

They also urged unemployed people to be less picky about the jobs they sign up for at this time:

Even  funnier, Thais don't  want many jobs only the Myanmar and Laos people will do.

Not always true. Fruit and Veg is generally cheaper in macro than what it is in the local markets. And at least you know what the price is before you buy.

The exception that proves the rule.

Rising cost of their debt should be their main concern.
The majority have no concept of simple economics.

greedy copy cats and gullible. Like most in the world.

in western countries, the lenders and sellers are even more creative and calculating. debt bubble worldwide. Will pop soon.
