War is when your government tells you who the enemy is. Revolution is when the people realize who the enemy is.

Someone wokeup on the right side this morning...

You think they were HIS decisions? I think you better read up on past Thai politics and Prayuth's career.

Who made the decisions then , if not Prayrut ?

I’m not sure Prayut is any different to Thaksin.

I have no evidence for my statement. Do you have any evidence for yours?

no other prime minister ever got near the corruption level of taksin, not in amounts and not in methods.

Excuse me just one moment, show me a country with 70 million in population that has escaped the this Covid economy downturn, much stronger and richer countries that Thailand are suffering and suffering bad, so what do they want? that Thailand will be doing business as usual and no one and nothing will be affected? you want to change the leadership, do int in the ballot, just as well that theses protests are not in China, HK, No.Korea or Iran and other despots regimes, there would have been blood in the streets by now...

They tried it in a ballot, but the greedy generals fixed the vote so as to remain in power and keep filling their pockets.

if no one has been able to see that the constitution and the 2 supplementary issues that the Thai people voted YES to were knitted together in such a way that it would give the military junta, which was in power for 4 years, the power, and which will get  the dictator himself, to sit in power for as long as he pleases, then they must be blind.

The vote was stacked, can you not see that.

You can't be serious. Pm is controlling the politicians, the economy and has absolute power. When on earth did Thaksin even get close to that....

Sorry as I fully disagree since I have 3 kids, wife and family here. If all you have is a condo or rented room then this maybe true for you.

It's true I see myself more as a visitor, even after 7 years, I have a bit more invested than a condo but haven't made a life here or have your level of involvement. I was looking at it from a more global perspective, that is however the Thais resolve their issues with whatever government is in place I would hope it's without the interference of foreign powers, that's just not been working out too well recently.

Watched a main stream world news it was running a stream at the bottom "*Thousands* demonstrate in Thailand for the govt. to resign.......

Good on ya young uns, just be wary as the ptb have the big guns and they have been known to use them.

Who or what are the ptb?

I'm surprised that General Apirat hasn't taken taken this opportunity to display his fleet of shiny new Styker APV's to deter the mass gatherings...

When RED paid terrorists march on the capital and start cowardly arson, then the military should use deadly force.

Won't take long before Big Brother gives advice on how to push a HK style dissidence law into place and the off to gulag with the youngsters it is.

The only solution would be to get rid of the usurpers ASAP, as in yesterday, before it's too late.

He's still a bit of an unknown, but at least it looks like he'd be more inclined to reject CCP.

Last thing Thailand needs is stroppy teenagers causing a disruption to peoples peaceful daily lifes

The first thing thailand needs is the youth to rise up and the rest to follow them.

Reminds me of the animals that wait till a car is almost on them and then run across the road.

Do they not learn Thai history at school?

Should stick to protesting about climate change.

They don't teach that kind of history only how brave and clever Thai people are. Thailand number one. Good on them anyway. At least they've got some balls

Yes the youth may be quite vocal here & rightfully so but,

The media & probably the PTB are trying to pretend it is just the youth by showing just pics of their groups.

That is not the case...Young & Old alike are fed up with this mob calling themselves a government

I Your quite right, my thai family say everyone hates this regime they also are afraid to speak out and afraid to say things over the phone. My mother in law is well known and in all the years I have known her I have never heard Thais talk like this. I think something is up with Somkid and 4 other top guys going. I would wager a bet that the general might be on vacation soon .

However who will replace god.

Nothing to do with foreigners were just guests in the country just worry about your next visas.

"guests" ???????????????? How can we be "guests" the way we are treated?

They must be bored.  disperse them ....

Is that the pretenders, lead by your heart-throb Payut who call themselves a government?

Democracy is  abused by the Mob. Dictatorship is the only way to go with these Gime Gimies.

The problem with such protests is that they are mostly unfocussed. If I was them I'd go for the abolition on one specific law, and move on from there.

How ironic. I just spoke with several Americans in the States. Wanting ! to bring in the military to help along side the police in the Democratic stong holds in the cities that are on fire and being burned down.  Neither side wants to move as they have a "democratic" election in November and don't want to make decisions to lose votes that will determine the fate of the States. Its already being spoken that which ever party wins "democratically" the other side will be in the streets. BLM has very quietly merged with Islamic Council ( and others, and will be coming in  should the democrats win. So, in the "biggest democracy" in the world, they have 2 old white guys with 330 million Americans divided right down the middle and gun sales have soared by the millions. I think pouring this democracy idea now in Thailand with the COVID19 scare will set off the world travelers even more when remembering the coupe' and airport closure last time.. Thailand has been my home for many years. Safest place in the world right now.I can think of no place I'd rather be..chok dee!
