Missing Brit found safe

PHUKET:-- British national Peter Murrray, 60, reported as missing by his family in the UK, is safe and on the island, but being detained at Phuket Provincial Prison while driving charges against him are being heard in court.

 

Concerns for Peter’s welfare were raised last week when his niece Shannon reached out to The Phuket News for help in locating her uncle.

 

Peter’s sister Sonia explained that Peter had booked tickets to fly to Bulgaria to meet family there, but failed to arrive on Aug 2. All attempts to contact Peter since then had failed.

He's been charged with drunken driving and reckless driving after hitting a motorbike whilst on his motorbike causing injury. He's still in prison as the police are waiting for a criminal background check from Bangkok.

Seems clear. Drunk and not enough money to pay 'instant fine' or bail = end up in jail.  Wait for court appearance. 

Not sure he agrees at this very moment on being found "safe" in there lol.

That´s great news! Good that they found him. Even if it was not in a good place. However, he is alive and well. ???? 

Phuket Town is the last place to break the law in Phuket. It's infested with police compared with all the other areas in Phuket.

Drunk, riding a scooter and in a foreign country, I would expect that from a younger tourist, but a gentleman my age, oh contre, servith thy rit, no sympathy, although glad to hear he was found alive, watchout for the go fund me page ????

When will they ever learn?

Has been allowed to keep the baggy vest, or has he been forced into better prison clothing?

That does not happen here, i know i tried.

Cautionary tale...  Get the insurance that pays your bail.

 

Edit:  Though, I wonder...  Does blowing a 0.3 on the breathalyzer make that null and void?  Anyone have any experience (or, more likely here- have a "friend" with experience)?

 

so he's safe, alive and well,  he's got free board and food and many friends to be with ..... what more does he need.

Maybe driving with a valid licence

He's charged with DUI so hardly surprising.  

 

If he killed your mother by his reckless behaviour then I'd imagine you wouldn't be so forgiving either?

He should have sniffed a few lines of coke as well, and put a Red Bull sticker on his bike - then I'm sure he would have made his flight to Bulgaria.

Now heres a thing, would You have anything to do with a Man who looks like that. I declare Myself a Snob. On my rare visits to Tourist Areas he waits for me in 7/11. Toasted Cheese n Ham, Tin O Chang, with the slowest Cashier manning the till whilst his B.O. starts to permeate every descent persons clothes. Then sits on outside step going "Oil Right Mate" to everyone in some weird English accent.

Later on, 'he' posts on a forum for expats in Thailand. Not being intelligent, or even being able to spell correctly, he is rude about other people, & thinks he is 'better than the rest' labelling himself a snob.

 

 

 

 

Unfortunate for Peter, he didn't have cocaine in his system as he wouldn't have have seen the inside of a prison.

Another brit trash expat without money to extort traffic police, maybe a couple of f... you comments helped him to get busted.

The way he dresses at the picture is also a provocation to get pulled over and arrested by BIB.

It won't hurt to wear a T-shirt when you are out having a few drinks.

Dress nicely, be polite and admit your fault when you are causing an accident during DUI (driving under influence) and pay the police what they ask for without any argue. 

There are deacent people that can Socialise nicely. Watch the Sturgis 2020  Bike Event. Retired and Young enjoying life in American Way. Hes just not one of them.

The get out of jail free card has nothing to do with cocaine in the system, rather massive reserves in the family vault.
