UK tells EU: back down by Sunday night or we'll walk

No

There has always been a victory for the Leave voters since day one, after the Referendum.

Nothing changed.

There is no new victory.

Of course if some still want to proclaim daily " We won the Referendum in 2016", fair enough.

There also daily some Remain voters who claim, since the results of the Referendum, that Brexit is a bad idea.

  • You can chose between Barnier, Ursula, or any of the EU. They’re all as bad.  Boris has given them enough chances, now it’s time to walk away No Deal.

  • Don't let the door hit you on the way out.????

  • Australian terms.....why do they persist in trying that on......although I guess it works with stupid people.

Yes gone are the days when Mr Barnier could just snap his fingers and T May would go rushing off to Brussels, then to be ridiculed and embarrassed by the snide EU council. Today Barnier comes rushing to our Capital to beg for a deal from Gun Boat Boris.????????????

When other EU leaders are refusing to take your phone calls you can work out where in the pecking order you stand.

Fair enough, I should say.

Last time it was Mr. Jonhson who rushed to Brussels, on the invitation of Mrs. von der Leyen, to have a fish dinner.

You were discussing the EU  contingency proposals  that contain the agreement of a level playing field

Which you claim is garbage

And the Guardian,BBC and Sky news state the EU  contingency proposals  do contain  the agreement of a level playing field as part of the mini deals

EU makes fishing and transport no-deal offers in return for 'level playing field'

Brexit: EU sets out plans in case trade talks with UK fail

Brexit: EU risks fresh fishing row with UK over no-deal contingency plans

Meanwhile, parts of the mini-deals offered by the EU to the UK contain the same demands for so-called level playing field provisions that have been - along with fishing rights - such a contentious aspect of post-Brexit trade negotiations.

You are perfectly free to interpret anything you read in any way you want, doesn't make it fact.

The so called "Australian terms" is another Bojo lie.

The UK cannot leave on "Australian terms", although there is a high probability that will be where they end up.

Australia already has a multitude of agreements with the EU so the UK cannot possibly be in the same position Jan 1st. Australia is currently trying to negotiate an FTA with the EU, something else the UK is about to abandon.

If Australia doesn't like it's arrangement with the EU, why would the UK?

Going back on what is promised has become so common with the brexit brigade that people now see it as par for the course.

I will remind you again but for many people who voted for Brexit meant leaving the EU and the ECJ, customs Union and single market.

That would be fair enough if that was what had been the objective and put on the ballot paper.

But it wasn't, and business was was promised access to the single market, haven't the UK been negotiating for the last 4 years for preferential access to that market. I take it selective memory has removed TM's dealings with the Japanese.

The whole cake and cherries came about because the UK want the market without following the rules, contradicts your idea of what brexit meant.

https://www.euronews.com/2020/12/11/boris-johnson-snubbed-by-merkel-and-macron-after-requesting-phone-calls-about-brexit-deal

UK prime minister Boris Johnson tried to set up calls with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French president Emmanuel Macron to discuss a Brexit deal but was rebuffed to present a united front, it has emerged.

Johnson attempted to arrange calls with the leaders of the European Union's two biggest economies on Monday ahead of his crunch talks over dinner with European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels.

A senior EU official confirmed that the request had been made but that the UK premier had been refused and told that all negotiations must be done through the European Commission.

Something as futile as UVDL reaching out to Sturgeon to negotiate a trade deal. I’m surprised after 5 years he still doesn’t get who he’s negotiating with.

UVDL is very much like Nero fiddling as Rome burned except she is fiddling as the German cars start to rot in their respective compounds and Macrons ego is about to take one almighty tumble, but but but Boris tried to work something out and we ignored him, bwah bwah bwah.

There are certainly some disillusioned people on here who think exiting the European Union will be the best thing since sliced bread

Will see how things start this week coming when a No deal is announced

I will try and remain  on a Positive vibe but can only see Negatives

Hopefully I am proved wrong

It may happen.

One never know, there is no guarantee.

Despite that The Titanic

was build in Belfast, chief designer the Briton Thomas Andrews Jr., operated by the British shipping company White Star Line, it sank on the first voyage.

I wonder if in 5 years time we will be able to find anyone who will admit they voted for Brexit. ????

Of course for the next two years we will need to put up with them blaming everyone and anything except themselves for Brexit happening.

Same ol' record, but, same could be said for YOUR Scottish Independence campaign......????

Lest wait and see if the Brits keep their promise. Probably not as BJ is untrustworthy. I bet he wont pull out, tomorrow we will know there is either a deal or BJ pulls out or BJ is lying. I am thinking it will be option 3.

Monday we will know.
