In recorded call, Trump pressures Georgia election official to change results - Washington Post

Huh, thanks for all the replies; and all because I thought that Pres. Trump had made a stupid move in this call. Wonder if it will affect the Georgia senate elections as the pollsters give a fairly close averages the candidates. This year in the USA certainly has not been a 'mainstream year'. ????

The lies were all from the legacy media. They just made up the story and quotes. CNN, Washington Post, all of them falsely claiming they corroborated the story, when in fact it was just made up. Just incredible this made up garbage was used heavily in the impeachment trial, what a total farce!!

Did I miss the thread retracting all these garbage anti-Trump claims?

"The Post initially reported Trump had told an official working in Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger's office to "find the fraud" in the state, which he lost narrowly to Joe Biden, and that she would be a "national hero" if she did.

However, a newly emerged recording of the Dec. 23 call found he didn't use those words. "

Deflection.  There's an audio recording of another call.  Asking to "find the votes".  Avoid Fox News at all costs.  They make sure stories all the time, and even admit it.

‘I just want to find 11,780 votes’: In extraordinary hour-long call, Trump pressures Georgia secretary of state to recalculate the vote in his favor

Excuse me, they MADE UP quotes and falsely attributed them to Trump and said it was from anonymous sources. Credibility s now shot for all time after their fake quotes were used to bash Trump during impeachment.

Apparently, according to Fox News, they used a single source and didn't check if it was true.

According to Fox News the other news organisations that published the same claims contacted the same source as the Washington Post and also did not verify the information.

Fox News, like Newsmax and OAN, are not credible media outlets.  WaPo is very credible.

I did a google search on this.  It's mostly coming up in the fake news right wing media outlets.

Can't wait until the former president is jailed so we can forget all about him.

I doubt he will ever see one day in a jail, irrespective of any convictions, also how does the country provide his 24 security (to which he is entitled) in a correctional facility?

That's not a reason to not lock him up if convicted.

Wasn't WAPO the paper that called Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi the leader of ISIS who Trump took out "an austere religious scholar"!! What a joke of a publication!! Good to see them grovel in a retraction. Hope they get sued with all the other fake news media like NYT, CNN, MSNBC etc like with the Covington kids.

Do a little research.

"...contemporaries of al-Baghdadi describes him in his youth as being shy, unimpressive, a religious scholar, and a man who eschewed violence. For more than a decade, until 2004, he lived in a room attached to a small local mosque in Tobchi, a poor neighbourhood on the western fringes of Baghdad, inhabited by both Shia and Sunni Muslims.[26]"  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Bakr_al-Baghdad

It's common for extremist fanatics to begin as religious scholars.

Actually, he even got a Doctorate in Islamic science from an Islamic University in Bagdad.

That's easy.  The Congress will pass a law removing some of the benefits for a former president who is convicted of a felony.

Or just say 'now in jail where there is security, no need for additional'.

Its ok, his lawyer now admits she was lying. Saying no reasonable person would believe what she said.

So when it comes to actual evidence and saying under oath, as usual, it falls apart.

And It's completely incoherent! (Quotes from your sources)

One the one hand: "One of Donald Trump's lawyers has claimed in a defamation trial that her claims of voter fraud were so outlandish that reasonable people would not take them seriously"

But on the other hand: "She believed the allegations then and she believes them now," the filing read" ????????????????????

She's stuck between a rock and a hard place. She must claim that people did not believe it so that no damage has been done. But she also needs to claim she believed what she said, in order to show she did not intend to defame Dominion! ????
