Not for the bulk of Isan that's for sure....maybe where all the money is...yes.

As an indication here about 30% of businesses closed for China New Year.

  • The Chinese military industrial conglomerate does not just hand out money. They expect a transfer of control of assets and absolute obedience.

  • Can i see Pattaya and Jomtien heading the same direction as Sikhanoville once these cockroaches get their hands on something like this,my guess is a definite yes.

All hail the impartiality of the Western expat in Pattaya.

Westerners spend money = investment.

Chinese spend money = world domination.

<sarcasm>Well this is great news since there's such a huge shortage of empty condo units in Jomtien.</sarcasm>

Clearly a no-brainer for anybody with no brains, lol.

Are y'all aware that when China comes into a country for any industrial purposes, it demands that its own people be used? I'm not sure this is 100% of the time,. but I know it is true almost everytime. This was a problem, I think in Uruguay, a short while ago. So once again, the Chinese win and the everyday Thai losses and he/she has no clue. Prayut is aware, but doesn't care as long as it's money in his pocket and the loving Thai people don't know

We all know that Thailand is selling its soul to China, the new bully on the block.  Its like watching a slow train wreck and it will end in tears.  Pity that they haven't researched Sri Lanka' s experience with those double dealers in Beijing

Well if it keeps them out of Bangkok and else where

I am sure Pattaya would welcome them with open arms

Investing in Condos hotels restaurants  could even have a China town in Pattaya the good news keeps on coming ????

Next time you look at exchange rates and say, “huh, what happened?”, at least now you know why.  China’s dumping money into Thailand by the boatload.  This is one of the more visible deals.

Ni Hao!  Go Short time?  No spitting Ka.

I smell something.......................

Sihanoukville

Have you ever been to Mandalay? A lot of the place looks like China and is run by the Chinese. I noticed this when i went there, after going to China, but upon further research, I learned how much China has bought up so they made it in their own way. (Maybe this is part of the reason the military has taken control again - better/greater deals for them with the Chinese.

More maskless Hi-Sos who are not social distancing.

Money talks.  If you have money and power, then masks and social distancing are not required.

The rich, wealthy, and powerful are clean so they do not need to wear masks or social distance.  That's only for the unwashed commoner class.

Excuse me.  I'm sure they QUARANTINED for 15 nights before this photo.

Soul in Pattaya? Ha. A soul and 200 baht will get you a Latte at Starbucks.

Just follow the person holding the flag

Assuming the Thai authorities default on the terms of the "loan", the CCP will get a 99 year lease on Sattathip and U-Tapao as "compensation".

You would think by now these countries would catch on to these scams.  I guess not.

The picture on that link is funny. It appears to show a View Talay Tower (which looks tiny in comparison) but it's been made transparent! A bit of a statement there, huh? We're so hiso that you're proletarian Soviet style towers aren't even real to us, got it?

Not my words, but the reason given for the rejection of planning for other buildings. Please acquaint yourself with some local information on other planning decisions earlier.

Blame the Cambodia government for that. It's not happening like that here in Thailand. Snooky is a mess now.

I don’t see the need for these Chinese condominium developers in Thailand with their exorbitant prices.
