Contain?

That is the point, so high numbers bcos so highly contained.

By the photo illustration they arrive to carry on the model into the field hospitals too.

Forget about 1.5m distance, just squeeze the tight, so those who have a mild covid of one kind, may get infected with a different?

Your username certainly fits this post because I can't make heads or tails of it.

That was from the long weekend associated with Chakri  day.

Remember that Covid-19 has an incubation period. The 141 cases on April 10 came from earlier infections.

COVID-19 sweeps through Thailand's overcrowded prisons

BANGKOK: A coronavirus surge sweeping through Thailand's prisons has thrown the spotlight on the kingdom's overcrowded penal system, where some inmates have less space to sleep than the inside of a coffin.

More than 22,000 people have tested positive inside jails, where inmates living cheek by jowl have been encouraged to keep wearing their masks even while they sleep.

Authorities have floated plans to give early releases to prisoners with underlying medical conditions and have announced funding for more testing and medical care in recent days.

Try again, your not looking at each province before Songkran and after Songkran.  As I indicated prior to the big travel holiday many provinces had no cases and or had never had a case, but during and after well all 77 did.  Ball is in your court to disprove this.

Ball is in your court now.

Possibly as short as 3 days...up to 14.

And people are infectious during that time, as of yet. asymptomatic..

I recall at the time being concerned as there were increasing numbers from April 9th and we get many visitors from Bangkok, each and every weekend.

The conversation was about comparing pre and post songkran. Nothing to do with other countries.

you’re lane veering again danderman.

Okay, compared to the 70 million inhabitants, Thailand has a low per capita infection rate.

My point is that the big infections in Chonburi preceded Songkran.

Do you disagree?

Now your common sense has left the field.

If there were 141 cases on April 10, and another spike on April 17, tell me why Songkran was to blame.

And I disputed THAT point....

Also I did not blame Songkran wholly, but in part. I blame Bangkok tourists.

Total lack of respect for the patients, just take a few of the box beds out, it can't be that desperate for beds here can it?

Quite; and millions of them sleep on the floor at home with just very thin or no mattress, so 'beds' don't really matter that much !

Well if your in there with all the other people who already have it it's a bit late for social distancing isn't it. You've already got covid who cares how close you are.

What you are doing again is taking this from the beginning and an overall figure. What we are now talking about is this so-called 3rd wave. Again if you look at weekly trends it is there for all to see that Thailand is not doing that well on a global scale with India being the worst performing country and Thailand as of today being the 24th worst performing country globally. On weekly trends I expect Thailand will move up the list possibly moving into the top 20 worst performing countries in the world within a month. >200,000 infections and >1000 deaths coming soon and mainly happening within a 2 month period.

Not easy for the medical staff to come and take vitals.

Why you've already got it...lol the problem is locking every single person up that gives a positive test. Probably the most ridiculous covid response in the whole world.

Oh I don't agree. It has merit in an environment of not many infections and keeping it that way.

I said on this site over a year ago that the wuhan tourists were bringing the covid virus to thailand for months after other countries had closed the borders. But of course no one was testing.  Better to do a few random tests to foreigners along the way.  Now they are testing and surprise surprise.   One must seriously question the competence and integrity of WHO for heaping praise on the handling of the pandemic.

China stopped all tour groups in late January. By February 1, most Chinese had left Thailand, and virtually zero were arriving.

And yet, that could what has stopped Thailand from having 100,000+ deaths, like in the UK.

Okay, if I can’t compare Thailand to other countries, and I can’t compare current infections to the overall population, then I got nothing. You win.

One death means the government is doing a terrible job, compared to nothing.
