Popular Post webfact Posted June 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2021 Thailand’s Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has denied that the Public Health Ministry has anything to do with the postponement of vaccination appointments, scheduled for this week, by numerous private and state hospitals and health centres in Bangkok and other provinces. Mr. Anutin, who is also deputy prime minister, said today (Sunday) that the Public Health Ministry is responsible for allocating vaccine doses to all provinces, including Bangkok, as instructed by the CCSA, adding that how doses are distributed thereafter rests with each province. Regarding a report that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) health office has run out of vaccines, because it has not received its full allocation from the Public Health Ministry, Mr. Anutin said that the ministry delivered 500,000 doses to the BMA during the first week of June, adding that more vaccine will be delivered later, when the ministry receives them from the suppliers. Popular Post Dukeleto Posted June 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2021 I would be more worried about the cold chain supply problems for the vaccine in Thailand. I am Fairly certain much of the stuff is useless by the time it reaches the arm of the citizen anyway. 9 3 4 2

Popular Post the green light Posted June 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2021 Supply of vaccines is always of problem especially for new programs whatever the reason one can read between the lines, there is a shortage all around Without making any excuses, the government is not hording the vaccines. Whenever available ,they will administered. Given few more month, the vaccines program will be on track. 9

Instead it was a shipment from AZ facilities abroad hence the small number. Also the fact that they are constantly keeping the press far away, speaks for itself. 14 1

Well that is a relief, thanks for the reassurance mate.

PEE TEE Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Doses are distributed thereafter rests with each province. There are more eggs handed out than doses of vaccine

They just said register all the names, give appointment dates then failed to deliver the required doses. Complete failure on the governments part. 8 2
Popular Post wensiensheng Posted June 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 14, 2021 Personally I blame AZ for the issues surrounding the supply of their vaccine to SE Asia. they are the people who chose Thailand as their SE Asia manufacturing hub. Would they have got similar issues had they chosen Singapore? We will never know, but I suspect not. They may have been given a later start date, but it would have been one that would have been met. but instead they chose what was almost certainly a cheaper option. Meantime large parts of the world economy are mothballed. Penny wise and pound foolish is the saying that comes to mind. I mean, you have a vaccine that is vital to get the world economy on its feet and lives saved, surely you go for certainty, not cheap production? as it is, Thailand is doing what it is renowned for, smiling and deflecting blame. You get what you pay for AZ. 7 1 1

Popular Post AussieinThaiJim Posted June 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 14, 2021 Not enough to meet demand! This was foreseen months ago but they started the rush. Anutin should just “own up” but that’s unlikely, just hang him out after all he’s had his jabs! It seems everyone has just to wait until deliveries arrive, hopefully in 2021. In the meantime 2500 will get the disease everyday and 20-30 will die. it’s a bloody disgrace! 3
Popular Post mtls2005 Posted June 14, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 14, 2021 It feels like they're running out of vaccines, hopefully someone from the regime will be along shortly to update us on the status of current inventory and expected shipments. Only 108,204 doses adminstered yesterday. According to news reports, the minister loves dodging responsibility... On Sunday morning, she was awoken up by a member of her hospital staff with unwelcome news: Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul relayed through a ministry official that he was not happy with the reference to "the public health minister" included in the Facebook posts. She described subsequent talks with Thares Krassanairawiwong, the director of the Health Service Support Department, as "amicable" -- but he demanded that that reference to Mr Anutin be dropped from the annoucement. Dr Youwanush later replaced "the public health minister" with "related state agencies." Govt agency told Bangkok hospital to alter FB post on vaccine shortage, co-founder claims https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40001981 5 1

Grow a set, and admit as the Top Dog for the MOPH who is responsible for the heath and safety of the Thai people you have failed them. 4
TKDfella Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Maybe TAT is hoarding all the supplies should those millions of tourist need a jab on arrival.???? Isn't this is the guy that said there was plenty to go around, just a short time ago? Now he denies responsibility. Well the buck stops with you Mr.DPM and you can't take it eh? I think you need a second shot to give you courage...but not in the arm. 2
