Send conscripts home or risk army-camp Covid cluster, Move Forward Party says

Probably a good idea.

During the 1918 pandemic in the U.S., military camps were a vital cog in spreading the disease throughout the country. And President Wilson forbade even mentioning the virus as it would detract from the war effort.

Now is Thailand in a similar situation, no. But military camps are like jails, so prepare for the worst or take bold steps.

At the very least, they should vaccinate recruits the very first day.

The Army has the capability of ordering vaccine from overseas right now.

A young man, relative of my partner, was conscripted and went to camp late last week to commence his conscription..

he and all his group were vacinated a day after arrival..

It comes as some surprise to me that there are not any Infections in the Army Camps so far.

Ideal conditions for Delta to spread, and it attacks the younger people in the Population more so than the other variants.

But without the old people there not be as many young people.

Besides, the old people built up the countries that the young now enjoy.

 Phrase it a bit softer:

In Thailand with little social security, the old highly rely on the younger generation financially.

Which I suppose is is payback for raising them. Guiding and supporting them until they are old enough to support themselves. And longer in many cases.

Correct, people see the old as a drain on resources, the UK government counted a care home death as a saving of £750 a month  or so.

I do not see the Uk or any government other than France helping there expats with vaccine.
