Protester arrested after demanding mRNA vaccines, two including police officer injured

I can't understand why the protester doesn't go to the embassies of the mRNA vaccine producers (US, Germany, Belgium) with his demands.
I am sure that Thailand will be happy to buy every arriving package.

They are only too happy to buy Sinovac at the minute....

As we see in Philippines, buying does not help. They got 2m doses of Pfizer after delay of 4months. Tiny packages, huge delays, just pay and wait forever. This is the alternative to the weekly 1m+ deliveries from China.
What the protester actually want is waiting for 6 months without any vaccine.

One protest leader was arrested, while another and a police officer were injured in a scuffle between anti-government protesters and police in front of Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health late this afternoon (Friday).

Interesting.

So now if you petition the Thai government to secure 'effective' mRNA vaccines for the Thai populace, you are then labelled an "Anti-government Protester" and then beat.

This sounds like "Pro-Thai-Public-Health" and Pro-Vaccine-Concered-Citizens" but I guess wanting the best for the Thai people and asking the Thai government to put the Thai people ahead of special interests, VIPs and the wealthy is now "Anti-Government".  Well, why not. The commoners need to be shown their place.  Groveling at the feet of their betters.

At this rate the majority of the country are soon to earn an Anti-Government label.  Hummm.  Then what?

These kids are brainless.

I agree with you!
The fact that there is only one protester shows that the entire society is mature, not infant.
What does a kid do when he want anything? He blame his parents for not giving it to him, he behaves noisy. A kid always sure that noisy behavior is the universal solution for any problems in life. But a mature society understands very clearly that there are a lot of countries nearby that have ordered 10000000000000000+ doses of mRNA vaccines already and they will be served first. So buying mRNA vaccine and wait it for years simply does not make any sense.

You're right in that demanding something that isn't currently available isn't going to work. But it's not going to take years to get more mRNA vaccines, adenoviral vector vaccines,or, for that matter protein based vaccines like Novavax, and perhaps even DNA vaccines. As you may not be aware, Chinese companies are now in what we hope will be the final successful stages of producing mRNA vaccines. Given how many vaccines are in the pipeline,  ordering too much of the less effective Coronavac and Sinopharm vaccines doesn't make too much sense either.

Don't forget we see a new variant of virus every 3 months. At the beginning of this year everyone tried to find a vaccine against "alpha" or "British" variant. Today alpha variant it is forgotten history already. Everyone wants to get a jab effective against the infamous delta variant.
We know that Pfizer and Moderna are ok against delta variant. But it requires a really skilled fortune teller to ensure that these ones are also ok against ... omega variant that will be active at the end of this year. So booking any vaccine in advance is like buying a lottery. But playing a lottery with people lives is not a good thing for sure.

The regime banned gatherings of five or more, yesterday.

"The curb, imposed by Gen Charlempol Srisawat, who is responsible for Covid-19 security-related issues, is part of a blanket announcement published in the Royal Gazette late Friday night."
