The comparison with seasonal flu and covid 19 (delta) is the R0: seasonal flu, 1.3 and delta 4 to 5. My friend felt ill on Sunday, went for a test on Monday which was positive, they were told to stay at home by the doctor, come for a re-test on Wednesday. If that was still positive they have to isolate at home until a bed can be found. The factory employs around 200, my friend says at least half have symptoms, the factory is still operating. HappyinNE
Health experts said the rising COVID case and death tolls in Thailand have been driven by the highly contagious Delta (India) variant of the coronavirus that’s now become dominant in the country. I say that the rising COVID case and death tolls in Thailand have been driven by the lack of vaccinations. Of the course the cause of this is the CZAR. Sums it up really, my wife was one of the first to get Sinovac back in early June, even then we both agreed she would get a paid booster as soon as available from a private hospital. Lets face it, its necessary for the delta, even the Thai study says it loses 50% after 40 days, it was never that good compared to the others in the first place.

There have been a lot of reports that many times, after people get pawned off to home isolation, they don't get any or much of the various support/follow-up that's being promised. Just left alone at home to fend for themselves, and whatever outcome may come. Kinda like all the various great and promised plans for foreigner vaccines being readily available -- most of that has never materialized thus far for expats throughout Thailand, except for a relatively lucky/persistent few.
